Isaiah 40:1-11
ComfortH5162 ye, comfortH5162 ye my peopleH5971, saith your GodH430. 2SpeakH1696 ye comfortably to JerusalemH3389; and cry unto her, that her warfareH6635 is accomplished, that her iniquityH5771 is pardoned, that she hath receivedH3947 of Jehovah’s handH3027 doubleH3718 for all her sinsH2403.
The voiceH6963 of one that crieth, Prepare ye in the wildernessH4057 the wayH1870 of Jehovah; makeH3474 level in the desertH6160 a highwayH4546 for our GodH430. 4Every valleyH1516 shall beH1961 exalted, and every mountainH2022 and hillH2022 shall beH1961 made lowH8213; and the uneven shall beH1961 made levelH4334, and the rough places a plainH4334: 5and the gloryH3519 of Jehovah shall be revealedH1540, and all fleshH1320 shall seeH7200 it togetherH3162; for the mouthH6310 of Jehovah hath spokenH1696 it.
The voiceH6963 of one sayingH559, Cry. And one saidH559, What shall I cry? All fleshH1320 is grassH2682, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flowerH6731 of the fieldH7704. 7The grassH2682 withereth, the flowerH6731 fadeth, because the breathH7307 of Jehovah bloweth upon it; surely the peopleH5971 is grassH2682. 8The grassH2682 withereth, the flowerH6731 fadeth; but the wordH1697 of our GodH430 shall standH6965 foreverH5769.
O thou that tellest good tidings to ZionH6726, get thee up on a highH1364 mountainH2022; O thou that tellest good tidings to JerusalemH3389, liftH7311 up thy voiceH6963 with strengthH3581; liftH7311 it up, be not afraidH3372; sayH559 unto the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063, Behold, your GodH430! 10Behold, the LordH136 Jehovah will comeH935 as a mightyH2389 one, and his armH2220 will ruleH4910 for him: Behold, his rewardH7939 is with him, and his recompenseH6468 before him. 11He will feedH7462 his flockH5739 like a shepherdH7462, he will gatherH6908 the lambs in his armH2220, and carryH5375 them in his bosomH2436, and will gently leadH5095 those that have their young.
