John 11:15-40

15and I amG5463 gladG5463 for your sakesG1223 that I was not thereG1563, soG2443 thatG2443 you may believeG4100; but let’s goG71 to him.” 161ThereforeG3767 ThomasG2381, who was calledG3004 23DidymusG1324, saidG3004 to his fellowG4827 disciplesG4827, “Let’s alsoG2532 goG71, soG2443 thatG2443 we may dieG599 with Him!”

17SoG3767 when JesusG2424 cameG2064, He foundG2147 that he had alreadyG2235 beenG2192 in the tombG3419 4fourG5064 daysG2250. 18NowG1161 5BethanyG963 was nearG1451 JerusalemG2414, aboutG5613 6fifteenG1178 stadiaG4712 awayG575; 19and manyG4183 of 7the JewsG2453 had comeG2064 to 8MarthaG3136 and MaryG3137, 9to consoleG3888 them aboutG4012 their brotherG80. 20SoG3767 thenG3767 10MarthaG3136, whenG5613 she heardG191 that JesusG2424 was comingG2064, wentG5221 toG5221 meetG5221 Him, but 11MaryG3137 12stayedG2516 in the houseG3624. 21MarthaG3136 thenG3767 saidG3004 to JesusG2424, “13LordG2962, 14ifG1487 You had beenG1510 hereG5602, my brotherG80 would not have diedG599. 22EvenG2532 nowG3568 I knowG3609 that 15whateverG3745G302 You askG154 of GodG2316, GodG2316 will giveG1325 You.” 23JesusG2424 saidG3004 to her, “Your brotherG80 will riseG450 from the dead.” 24MarthaG3136 saidG3004 to Him, “16I knowG3609 that he will riseG450 in the resurrectionG386 on the lastG2078 dayG2250.” 25JesusG2424 saidG3004 to her, “17I amG1510 the resurrectionG386 and the lifeG2222; the one who believesG4100 in Me will liveG2198, evenG2579 ifG2579 he diesG599, 26and everyoneG3956 who livesG2198 and believesG4100 in Me 18will neverG3756G3361G1519G165 dieG599. Do you believeG4100 thisG3778?” 27She saidG3004 to Him, “YesG3483, LordG2962; I have come to believeG4100 that You are 19the 20ChristG5547, the SonG5207 of GodG2316, and 2122He who comesG2064 into the worldG2889.”

28When she had saidG3004 thisG3778, she 23leftG565 and calledG5455 MaryG3137 her sisterG79, sayingG3004 secretlyG2977, “24The TeacherG1320 is hereG3918 and is callingG5455 for you.” 29And whenG5613 she heardG191 this, she gotG1453 upG1453 quicklyG5035 and cameG2064 to Him.

30NowG1161 JesusG2424 had not yetG3768 comeG2064 into the villageG2968, but 25was stillG2089 at the placeG5117 whereG3699 MarthaG3136 metG5221 Him. 3126ThenG3767 the JewsG2453 who were with her in the houseG3614 and were 27consolingG3888 her, when they sawG3708 that MaryG3137 had gottenG450 upG450 quicklyG5030 and leftG1831, they followedG190 her, thinkingG1380 that she was goingG5217 to the tombG3419 to weepG2799 thereG1563. 32SoG3767 whenG5613 MaryG3137 cameG2064 to the place whereG3699 JesusG2424 was, she sawG3708 Him and fellG4098 at His feetG4228, sayingG3004 to Him, “28LordG2962, 29ifG1487 You had beenG1510 hereG5602, my brotherG80 would not have diedG599.” 33ThereforeG3767 whenG5613 JesusG2424 sawG3708 her weepingG2799, and 30the JewsG2453 who cameG4905 with her also weepingG2799, He 31was deeplyG1690 movedG1690 in spiritG4151 and 3233was troubledG5015, 34and He saidG3004, “WhereG4226 have you laidG5087 him?” They saidG3004 to Him, “LordG2962, comeG2064 and seeG3708.” 35JesusG2424 34weptG1145. 36SoG3767 35the JewsG2453 were sayingG3004, “SeeG2396 howG4459 He 36lovedG5368 him!” 37But someG5100 of them saidG3004, “CouldG1410 thisG3778 ManG3778, who 37openedG455 the eyesG3788 of the manG5185 whoG5185 wasG5185 blindG5185, not haveG4160 alsoG2532 38keptG4160 thisG3778 manG3778 from dyingG599?”

38SoG3767 JesusG2424, againG3825 being deeplyG1690 movedG1690 withinG1722G1438, cameG2064 to the tombG3419. NowG1161 it was a 39caveG4693, and a stoneG3037 was lyingG1945 againstG1909 it. 39JesusG2424 saidG3004, “RemoveG142 the stoneG3037.” MarthaG3136, the sisterG79 of the deceasedG5053, saidG3004 to Him, “LordG2962, byG2235 thisG2235 timeG2235 40there will be a stenchG3605, for he has beenG1510 dead 41fourG5066 daysG5066.” 40JesusG2424 saidG3004 to her, “42Did I not sayG3004 to you that ifG1437 you believeG4100, you will seeG3708 the gloryG1391 of GodG2316?”
