2‘I knowG3609your deedsἔργαergaG2041and your toilκόπονkoponG2873andperseveranceὑπομονήνhupomonēnG5281,and that you cannotδύνῃdunēG1410 G3756tolerateβαστάσαιbastasaiG941evilκακοὺςkakousG2556menG2556, and youputG3985to the testἐπείρασαςepeirasasG3985thoseG3588who callλέγονταςlegontasG3004themselvesἑαυτοὺςhe'autousG1438apostlesἀποστόλουςapostolousG652,and they are not, and you foundεὗρεςheuresG2147them to befalseψευδεῖς.pseudeisG5571;

3and you haveἔχειςecheisG2192perseveranceὑπομονὴνhupomonēnG5281and have enduredἐβάστασαςebastasasG941for My name’sὄνομάonomaG3686sakeδιὰdiaG1223,and have not grownG2872wearyG2872.

4But I haveἔχωechōG2192thisagainstκατὰkataG2596you, that you haveleftἀφῆκες.aphēkesG863your firstπρώτηνprōtēnG4413loveἀγάπηνagapēnG26.

5ThereforeοὖνounG3767rememberμνημόνευεmnēmoneueG3421from whereπόθενpothenG4159you have fallenπέπτωκας,peptōkasG4098, andrepentμετανόησονmetanoēsonG3340anddoποίησον·poiēsonG4160thedeedsἔργαergaG2041you did at firstπρῶταprōtaG4413;orδὲdeG1161elseG1490I am comingἔρχομαίerchomaiG2064to you and will removeκινήσωkinēsōG2795yourlampstandλυχνίανluchnianG3087out of its placeτόπουtopouG5117--unlessἐὰνeanG1437 G3361you repentμετανοήσῃς.metanoēsēsG3340.

6YetἀλλὰallaG235thisτοῦτοtoutoG3778you do haveἔχειςecheisG2192,that you hateμισεῖςmiseisG3404the deedsἔργαergaG2041of theNicolaitansΝικολαϊτῶνNikolaitōnG3531,whichἃhaG3739I alsoκἀγὼkagōkaiG2532hateμισῶ.misōG3404.

7He who hasἔχωνechōnG2192an earοὖςousG3775,let him hearἀκουσάτωakousatōG191whatτίtiG5101the SpiritπνεῦμαpneumaG4151saysλέγειlegeiG3004to the churchesἐκκλησίαις·ekklēsiaisG1577.To him who overcomesνικῶντιnikōntiG3528,I will grantδώσωdōsōG1325to eatG2068ofthe treeξύλουxulouG3586of lifeζωῆςzōēsG2222whichὅhoG3739is in theParadiseπαραδείσῳparadeisōG3857of GodθεοῦtheouG2316.’

8“And to the angelἀγγέλῳangelōG32of the churchἐκκλησίαςekklēsiasG1577inSmyrnaΣμύρνῃSmurnēG4667writeγράψον·grapsonG1125:The firstπρῶτοςprōtosG4413and the lastἔσχατος,eschatosG2078,whoὃςhosG3739was deadνεκρὸςnekrosG3498,and has come to lifeἔζησεν·ezēsenG2198,saysλέγειlegeiG3004thisτάδεtadeG3592:

9‘I knowG3609yourtribulationθλῖψινthlipsinG2347and yourpovertyπτωχείαν,ptōcheianG4432(but you arerichπλούσιοςplousiosG4145),and the blasphemyβλασφημίανblasphēmianG988by thoseG3588whosayλεγόντωνlegontōnG3004they are JewsἸουδαίουςIoudaiousG2453and are not, but are a synagogueσυναγωγὴsunagōgēG4864ofSatanσατανᾶ.satanaG4567.

10Do not fearφοβοῦphobouG5399whatἃhaG3739you are aboutμέλλειςmelleisG3195to sufferπάσχειν·pascheinG3958.BeholdἰδοὺidouG2400,the devilδιάβολοςdiabolosG1228is aboutμέλλειmelleiG3195to castβάλλεινballeinG906some of you into prisonφυλακὴνphulakēnG5438,soἵναinaG2443that you will betestedπειρασθῆτε,peirasthēteG3985,and you will haveἕξετεhexeteG2192tribulationθλῖψινthlipsinG2347for tenδέκα.dekaG1176daysἡμερῶνhēmerōnG2250. 15SoοὕτωςhoutōsG3779you alsoκαὶkaiG2532haveἔχειςecheisG2192some who in the sameG3668wayG3668holdκρατοῦνταςkratountasG2902the teachingδιδαχὴνdidachēnG1322of theNicolaitansΝικολαϊτῶνNikolaitōnG3531.

16Thereforeοὖν·ounG3767repentμετανόησονmetanoēsonG3340;orδὲdeG1161elseG1490I am comingἔρχομαίerchomaiG2064to you quicklyταχὺtachuG5035,and I will makeπολεμήσωpolemēsōG4170warG4170againstμετ᾽met᾽G3326them withthe swordῥομφαίᾳrhomphaiaG4501of My mouthστόματόςstomatosG4750.

20ButI haveἔχωechōG2192thisagainstκατὰkataG2596you, that you tolerateἀφεῖςapheisG863the womanγυναῖκαgunaikaG1135JezebelἸεζάβελ,IezabelG2403,who callsλέγουσαlegousaG3004herselfἑαυτὴνhe'autēnG1438a prophetessπροφῆτινprophētinG4398,and she teachesδιδάσκειdidaskeiG1321and leadsG4105My bond-servantsδούλουςdoulousG1401astrayG4105so that theycommitπορνεῦσαιporneusaiG4203acts ofimmoralityG4203and eatG2068thingsG1494sacrificedG1494to idolsG1494.

21I gaveἔδωκαedōkaG1325her timeχρόνονchrononG5550to repentμετανοήσῃmetanoēsēG3340, and shedoes not wantθέλειtheleiG2309to repentμετανοῆσαιmetanoēsaiG3340of her immoralityπορνείαςporneiasG4202.

22BeholdἰδοὺidouG2400,I will throwβάλλωballōG906heron a bedκλίνηνklinēnG2825of sickness,and thoseG3588whocommitG3431adulteryμοιχεύονταςmoicheuontasG3431with her into greatμεγάλην,megalēnG3173tribulationθλῖψινthlipsinG2347,unlessἐὰν μὴean mēG1437 G3361they repentμετανοήσωσινmetanoēsōsinG3340ofher deedsἔργωνergōnG2041.

23And I will killἀποκτενῶapoktenōG615her childrenτέκναteknaG5043withpestilenceθανάτῳ,thanatōG2288,and allπᾶσαιpasaiG3956the churchesἐκκλησίαιekklēsiaiG1577will knowγνώσονταιgnōsontaiG1097that I amεἰμιeimiG1510He whosearchesἐραυνῶνeraunōnG2045themindsνεφροὺςnephrousG3510and heartsκαρδίας,kardiasG2588; andI will giveδώσωdōsōG1325to eachG1538oneG1538of you accordingκατὰkataG2596to your deedsἔργαergaG2041.
