Matthew 4:1-7
ThenG5119 JesusG2424 was carried up into the wildernessG2048 by the SpiritG4151 to be temptedG3985 of the devilG1228:
and having fastedG3522 fortyG5062 daysG2250 and fortyG5062 nightsG3571, afterwards he hungered.
And the tempter comingG4334 up to him saidG3004, If thou beG1510 SonG5207 of 1GodG2316, speakG3004, that these stonesG3037 may becomeG1096 loavesG740 of breadG740.
But he answeringG611 saidG3004, It is writtenG1125, ManG444 shall not liveG2198 by breadG740 aloneG3441, but by every word which goes out through 2God's mouthG4750.
Then the devilG1228 takesG3880 him to the holyG40 cityG4172, and sets him upon the edge of the temple,
and saysG3004 to him, If thou beG1510 SonG5207 of 3GodG2316 castG906 thyself downG2736; for it isG1510 writtenG1125, He shall give charge to his angelsG32 concerningG4012 thee, and on [their] handsG5495 shall they bearG142 thee, lest in anywise thou strikeG4350 thy footG4228 against a stoneG3037.
JesusG2424 saidG5346 to him, It is againG3825 writtenG1125, Thou shalt not tempt [the] LordG2962 thy 4GodG2316.
