Matthew 12:2-14
But the PhariseesG5330, seeingG3708 [it], saidG3004 to him, BeholdG2400, thy disciplesG3101 are doing what is not lawfulG1832 to do on sabbathG4521.
But he saidG3004 to them, Have ye not readG314 what DavidG1138 did whenG3753 he was hungryG3983, and they that were with him?
HowG4459 he enteredG1525 into the houseG3624 of 1GodG2316, and ateG2068 the shewbread, which it wasG1510 not lawfulG1832 for him to eatG2068, nor for those with him, but for the priestsG2409 onlyG3441?
Or have ye not readG314 in the lawG3551 that on the sabbathsG4521 the priestsG2409 in the temple profane the sabbathG4521, and areG1510 blameless?
But I sayG3004 unto you, that there isG1510 hereG5602 what isG1510 greaterG3173 than the temple.
But if ye had knownG1097 what isG1510: I will have mercyG1656 and not sacrificeG2378, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.
For the SonG5207 of manG444 isG1510 LordG2962 of the sabbathG4521.
And, going away from thence, he cameG2064 into their synagogueG4864.
And beholdG2400, there was a manG444 having his handG5495 witheredG3584. And they askedG1905 him, sayingG3004, Is it lawfulG1832 to healG2323 on the sabbathG4521? that they might accuseG2723 him.
But he saidG3004 to them, What manG444 shall there beG1510 of you who has oneG1520 sheepG4263, and if this fallG1706 into a pitG999 on the sabbathG4521, will not lay holdG2902 of it and raiseG1453 [it] up?
HowG4214 muchG4214 better thenG3767 is a manG444 than a sheepG4263! So that it is lawfulG1832 to do wellG2573 on the sabbathG4521.
Then he saysG3004 to the manG444, StretchG1614 out thy handG5495. And he stretchedG1614 [it] out, and it was restored soundG5199 as the otherG243.
But the PhariseesG5330, having goneG1831 out, tookG2983 counsel against him, howG3704 they might destroyG622 him.
