John 18:19-25
The highG749 priestG749 thereforeG3767 demanded of JesusG2424 concerningG4012 his disciplesG3101 and concerningG4012 his doctrine.
JesusG2424 answeredG611 him, I spokeG2980 openlyG3954 to the worldG2889; I taughtG1321 alwaysG3842 in [the] synagogueG4864 and in the temple, whereG3699 all the JewsG2453 comeG4905 togetherG4905, and in secretG2927 I have spokenG2980 nothing.
WhyG5101 demandest thou of me? Demand of those who have heardG191, what I have spokenG2980 to them; beholdG2396, they know what I have saidG3004.
But as he saidG3004 these thingsG3778, oneG1520 of the officersG5257 who stoodG3936 by gaveG1325 a blow on the face to JesusG2424, sayingG3004, Answerest thou the highG749 priestG749 thusG3779?
JesusG2424 answeredG611 him, If I have spokenG2980 evilG2556, bearG3140 witnessG3140 of the evilG2556; but if wellG2573, whyG5101 smitest thou me?
AnnasG452 [thenG3767] had sentG649 him boundG1210 to CaiaphasG2533 the highG749 priestG749.
But SimonG4613 PeterG4074 wasG1510 standingG2476 and warmingG2328 himself. They saidG3004 thereforeG3767 to him, Art thou alsoG2532 of his disciplesG3101? He deniedG720, and saidG3004, I amG1510 not.
