Hebrews 9:16-28
16(For whereG3699 [there is] a testament, the deathG2288 of the testator must needs come in. 17For a testament [is] of force whenG3753 men are deadG3498, since it is in no way of force while the testator is aliveG2198.) 18Whence neither the firstG4413 was inaugurated without bloodG129. 19For every commandmentG1785 having been spokenG2980 accordingG2596 to [the] lawG3551 by MosesG3475 to all the peopleG2992; having takenG2983 the bloodG129 of calvesG3448 and goatsG5131, with waterG5204 and scarletG2847 woolG2053 and hyssopG5301, he sprinkled both the bookG975 itself and all the peopleG2992, 20sayingG3004, This [is] the bloodG129 of the covenantG1242 which 1GodG2316 has enjoined to you. 21And the tabernacleG4633 too and all the vesselsG4632 of serviceG3009 he sprinkled in like manner with bloodG129; 22and almostG4975 all thingsG3956 are purified with bloodG129 accordingG2596 to the lawG3551, and without blood-shedding there is no remission. 23[It was] necessaryG318 thenG3767 that the figurative representations of the thingsG3778 in the heavensG3772 should be purified with these; but the heavenlyG2032 thingsG3778 themselves with sacrificesG2378 better than these. 24For the ChristG5547 is not enteredG1525 into holyG40 places made with hand, figures of the trueG228, but into heavenG3772 itself, nowG3568 to appear before the faceG4383 of 2GodG2316 for us: 25nor in orderG2443 that he should offerG4374 himself oftenG4178, as the highG749 priestG749 entersG1525 into the holyG40 places every yearG1763 with bloodG129 not his ownG1438; 26since he had [thenG1161] been obliged oftenG4178 to sufferG3958 from the foundationG2602 of the worldG2889. But nowG1161 onceG530 in the consummationG4930 of the agesG165 he has been manifestedG5319 for [the] putting awayG575 of sinG266 by his sacrificeG2378. 27And forasmuch as it is the portion of menG444 onceG530 to dieG599, and after this judgmentG2920; 28thusG3779 the ChristG5547 alsoG2532, having been onceG530 offeredG4374 to bear the sinsG266 of manyG4183, shall appear to those that look for him the secondG1208 timeG1208 without sinG266 for salvationG4991.
