Hebrews 9:16-28

16For whereG3699 there is a 1covenantG1242, there must of necessityG318 2be the deathG2288 of the one who madeG1303 it. 17For a 3covenantG1242 is validG949 only when people are deadG3498, 4for it is neverG3379 inG2480 forceG2480 whileG3753 the one who madeG1303 it livesG2198. 18ThereforeG3606 evenG3761 the firstG4413 covenant was not inauguratedG1457 withoutG5565 bloodG129. 19For when everyG3956 commandmentG1785 had been 5spokenG2980 by MosesG3475 to allG3956 the peopleG2992 accordingG2596 to the LawG3551, 6he tookG2983 the 7bloodG129 of the calvesG3448 and the goatsG5131, with 8waterG5204 and scarletG2847 woolG2053 and hyssopG5301, and sprinkledG4472 bothG5037 9the bookG975 itselfG846 and allG3956 the peopleG2992, 20sayingG3004, “10ThisG3778 is the bloodG129 of the covenantG1242 whichG3739 GodG2316 commandedG1781 you.” 21And in the sameG3668 wayG3668 he 11sprinkledG4472 bothG2532 the 12tabernacleG4633 and allG3956 the vesselsG4632 of the ministryG3009 with the bloodG129. 22And 13almostG4975 allG3956 thingsG3956 are cleansedG2511 with bloodG129, accordingG2596 to the LawG3551, and 14withoutG5565 the sheddingG130 ofG130 bloodG130 there is noG3756 forgivenessG859.

23ThereforeG3767 it was necessaryG318 for the 15copiesG5262 of the things in the heavensG3772 to be cleansedG2511 with theseG3778 thingsG3778, but 16the heavenlyG2032 thingsG2032 themselvesG846 with betterG2909 sacrificesG2378 thanG3844 theseG3778. 24For ChristG5547 17did not enterG1525 a holyG40 placeG40 madeG5499 byG5499 handsG5499, a mere copyG499 of 18the trueG228 oneG228, but into 19heavenG3772 itselfG846, nowG3568 20to appearG1718 in the presenceG4383 of GodG2316 for us; 25norG3761 was it that He would offerG4374 HimselfG1438 oftenG4178, as 21the highG749 priestG749 entersG1525 22the HolyG40 PlaceG40 23yearG1763 by yearG1763 with bloodG129 that is not his ownG245. 26OtherwiseG1893, He would have neededG1163 to sufferG3958 oftenG4178 sinceG575 24the foundationG2602 of the worldG2889; but nowG3570 25onceG530 at 26the consummationG4930 of the agesG165 He has been 27revealedG5319 to putG115 awayG115 sinG266 2829by the sacrificeG2378 of HimselfG846. 27And justG2596G3745 as 30it is destinedG606 for peopleG444 to dieG599 onceG530, and afterG3326 thisG3778 31comes judgmentG2920, 28soG3779 ChristG5547 alsoG2532, having been 32offeredG4374 onceG530 to 33bearG399 the sinsG266 of manyG4183, will appearG3708 34a secondG1208 timeG1208 for 35salvationG4991 36withoutG5565 reference to sinG266, to thoseG3588 who 37eagerlyG553 awaitG553 Him.
