Ezekiel 17:12-17
SayH559 now to the rebelliousH4805 houseH1004, KnowH3045 ye not what these thingsH428 are? SayH559, Behold, the kingH4428 of BabylonH894 cameH935 to JerusalemH3389, and tookH3947 its kingH4428 and its princesH8269, and led them with him to BabylonH894.
And he tookH3947 of the king's seedH2233, and madeH3772 a covenantH1285 with him, and broughtH935 him under an oathH423, and he tookH3947 awayH3947 the mighty of the landH776;
that the kingdomH4467 might beH1961 abased, that it might not liftH5375 itself up, that it might keepH8104 his covenantH1285 in order to standH5975.
But he rebelledH4775 against him in sendingH7971 his ambassadors into EgyptH4714, that they might giveH5414 him horsesH5483 and muchH7227 peopleH5971. Shall he prosperH6743? shall he escapeH4422 that doeth such thingsH428? shall he breakH6565 the covenantH1285, and yet escapeH4422?
[As] I live, saith the LordH136 Jehovah, verily in the placeH4725 of the kingH4428 that made him kingH4428, whose oathH423 he despisedH959, and whose covenantH1285 he broke, even with him, in the midstH8432 of BabylonH894, shall he dieH4191.
Neither shall PharaohH6547 with a mighty armyH2428 and a greatH1419 assemblage do anything for him in the warH4421, when they cast up mounds and buildH1129 forts to cutH3772 off manyH7227 personsH5315.
