1 Corinthians 6
Darby Bible
1DareG5111 any oneG5100 of you, having a matterG4229 against another, prosecute his suit before the unjustG94, and not before the saintsG40? 2Do ye not then know that the saintsG40 shall judgeG2919 the worldG2889? and if the worldG2889 isG1510 judgedG2919 by you, areG1510 ye unworthy of [the] smallest judgments? 3Do ye not know that we shall judgeG2919 angelsG32? and not then matters of this lifeG982? 4If thenG3767 ye have judgments as to thingsG3778 of this lifeG982, set those [to judge] who are little esteemed in the assemblyG1577. 5I speakG3004 to you [to put you] to shameG1791. ThusG3779 there is not a wiseG4680 person among you, not even oneG3762, who shall be ableG1410 to decide between his brethren! 6But brotherG80 prosecutes his suit with brotherG80, and that before unbelieversG571. 7AlreadyG2235 indeedG3303 thenG3767 it isG1510 altogether a fault in you that ye have suits between yourselves. WhyG5101 do ye not ratherG3123 suffer wrongG91? whyG5101 areG1510 ye not ratherG3123 defraudedG650? 8But ye do wrongG91, and defraudG650, and this [your] brethren. 9Do ye not know that unrighteousG94 [persons] shall not inheritG2816 [the] kingdomG932 of 1GodG2316? Do not err: neither fornicatorsG4205, nor idolatersG1496, nor adulterersG3432, nor those who make women of themselves, nor who abuse themselves with men, 10nor thievesG2812, nor covetousG4123, nor drunkards, nor abusive persons, nor [the] rapacious, shall inheritG2816 [the] kingdomG932 of 2GodG2316. 11And these thingsG3778 wereG1510 some of you; but ye have beenG1510 washed, but ye have beenG1510 sanctifiedG37, but ye have beenG1510 justifiedG1344 in the nameG3686 of the LordG2962 JesusG2424, and by the SpiritG4151 of our 3GodG2316. 12All thingsG3956 are lawfulG1832 to me, but all thingsG3956 do not profit; all thingsG3956 are lawfulG1832 to me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. 13Meats for the bellyG2836, and the bellyG2836 for meats; but 4GodG2316 will bring to nothing both it and them: but the bodyG4983 [is] not for fornication, but for the LordG2962, and the LordG2962 for the bodyG4983. 14And 5GodG2316 has both raisedG1453 up the LordG2962, and will raiseG1453 us up from among [the dead] by his powerG1411. 15Do ye not know that your bodiesG4983 areG1510 membersG3196 of ChristG5547? Shall I thenG3767, taking the membersG3196 of the ChristG5547, makeG4160 [them] membersG3196 of a harlot? Far beG1510 the thought. 16Do ye not know that he [that isG1510] joinedG2853 to the harlot isG1510 oneG1520 bodyG4983? for the twoG1417, he saysG5346, shall beG1510 oneG1520 fleshG4561. 17But he that [isG1510] joinedG2853 to the LordG2962 isG1510 oneG1520 SpiritG4151. 18FleeG5343 fornication. Every sinG264 which a manG444 may practise isG1510 without the bodyG4983, but he that commits fornication sinsG264 against his ownG2398 bodyG4983. 19Do ye not know that your bodyG4983 isG1510 [the] templeG3485 of the HolyG40 SpiritG4151 which [isG1510] in you, which ye have of 6GodG2316; and ye areG1510 not your ownG1438? 20for ye have been boughtG59 with a priceG5092: glorifyG1392 now then 7GodG2316 in your bodyG4983.
