1 Corinthians 6

1If anyG5100 of youG4771 hasG2192 a grievanceG4229 againstG4314 anotherG2087, how dareG5111 he go to lawG2919 beforeG1909 theG3588 unrighteousG94 instead of beforeG1909 theG3588 saintsG40! 2Do you not knowG3756G1492 thatG3754 theG3588 saintsG40 will judgeG2919 theG3588 worldG2889? AndG2532 ifG1487 youG4771 are to judgeG2919 theG3588 worldG2889, are you not competentG1510G370 to judge trivialG1646 casesG2922? 3Do you not knowG3756G1492 thatG3754 we will judgeG2919 angelsG32? How much moreG3386 the things of this lifeG982!

4SoG3767 ifG1437 you needG2192 to settleG2922 everyday mattersG982, do you appointG2523 as judges thoseG3778 of no standingG1848 inG1722 theG3588 churchG1577? 5I say thisG3004 to yourG4771 shameG4314G1791. Is thereG1762 reallyG3779 noG3756 oneG3762 amongG1722 youG4771 wiseG4680G3739G1410 enough to arbitrateG1252 betweenG3319 hisG846 brothersG80? 6InsteadG235, one brotherG80 goes to lawG2919 againstG3326 another, andG2532 thisG3778 in front ofG1909 unbelieversG571!

The very fact thatG3303G3754 you haveG2192 lawsuitsG2917 amongG3326 youG1438 meansG1510 that youG4771 are thoroughlyG3654 defeatedG2275 alreadyG2235. WhyG1223G5101 notG3780 ratherG3123 be wrongedG91? WhyG1223G5101 notG3780 ratherG3123 be cheatedG650? 8InsteadG235, you yourselvesG4771 cheatG650 andG2532 do wrongG91, evenG2532 against your own brothersG80!1

9Do you not knowG2228G3756G1492 thatG3754 the wickedG94 will not inheritG3756G2816 the kingdomG932 of GodG2316? Do notG3361 be deceivedG4105: NeitherG3777 the sexually immoralG4205, norG3777 idolatersG1496, norG3777 adulterersG3432, norG3777 men who submit toG3120 orG3777 perform homosexual actsG733, 10norG3777 thievesG2812, norG3777 the greedyG4123, norG3756 drunkardsG3183, norG3756 verbal abusersG3060, norG3756 swindlersG727, will inheritG2816 the kingdomG932 of GodG2316. 11AndG2532 thatG3778 is what someG5100 of you wereG1510. ButG235 you were washedG628, you were sanctifiedG37, you were justifiedG1344, inG1722 theG3588 nameG3686 of theG3588 LordG2962 JesusG2424 ChristG5547 andG2532 byG1722 theG3588 SpiritG4151 ofG3588 ourG1473 GodG2316.

12“EverythingG3956 is permissibleG1832 for meG1473,” butG235 notG3756 everythingG3956 is beneficialG4851. “EverythingG3956 is permissibleG1832 for meG1473,” butG235 IG1473 will not be masteredG3756G1850 byG5259 anythingG5100. 13“FoodG1033 for theG3588 stomachG2836 andG2532 theG3588 stomachG2836 for foodG1033,” butG1161 GodG2316 will destroyG2673 themG3778G2532 bothG2532. TheG3588 bodyG4983 is notG3756 intended for sexual immoralityG4202, butG235 for theG3588 LordG2962, andG2532 theG3588 LordG2962 for theG3588 bodyG4983. 14ByG1223 HisG846 powerG1411 GodG2316 raisedG1453 theG3588 Lord from the deadG2962, andG2532 He will raise usG1825G1473 also.

15Do you not knowG3756G1492 thatG3754 yourG4771 bodiesG4983 areG1510 membersG3196 of ChristG5547? Shall I then takeG3767G142 theG3588 membersG3196 of ChristG5547 and uniteG4160G3196 them with a prostituteG4204? NeverG3361G1096! 16OrG2228 don’t you knowG3756G1492 thatG3754 he whoG3588 unites himselfG2853 with a prostituteG4204 isG1510 oneG1520 with her in bodyG4983? ForG1063 it is saidG5346, “TheG3588 twoG1417 will becomeG1510G1519 oneG1520 fleshG4561.”2 17ButG1161 he whoG3588 unites himselfG2853 with theG3588 LordG2962 isG1510 oneG1520 with Him in spiritG4151.

The Temple of the Holy Spirit

(Romans 12:1–8; 1 Corinthians 3:16–23)

18Flee fromG5343 sexual immoralityG4202. EveryG3956 other sinG265 a manG444 can commitG1437G4160 isG1510 outsideG1622 his bodyG4983, butG1161 he whoG3588 sins sexuallyG4203 sinsG264 againstG1519 his ownG2398 bodyG4983. 19Do you not knowG3756G1492 thatG3754 yourG4771 bodyG4983 is a templeG3485 of theG3588 HolyG40 SpiritG4151 who isG1510 inG1722 youG4771, whomG3739 you haveG2192 received fromG575 GodG2316? You areG1510 notG3756 your ownG1438; 20you were boughtG59 at a priceG5092. ThereforeG1211 glorifyG1392 GodG2316 withG1722 yourG4771 bodyG4983.3
