A Prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed, and poureth out his complaint before the LORD.
Hear myprayerH8605, OLORDH3068, and let my cry come unto thee.
Hide not thy face frommeH413in the day of my distress: incline thine ear untomeH413; in the day when Icallשִׁמְעָ֣הshim.'AhH8085answermeH413speedily.
For mydaysH3117consumeawayהַטֵּֽה־ha.teh-H5186like smoke, and my bones are burned as a firebrand.
My heart is smitten like grass, and withered; for I forget to eat my bread.
By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my flesh.
I am like a pelican of the wilderness; I am become as an owl of the waste places.
I watch, and ambecomeוָאֶֽהְיֶ֑הva.'eh.YehH1961like a sparrow that is aloneuponהָ֝יִ֗יתִיha.Yi.tiH1961the housetop.
Mine enemies reproachmeH5921all the day; they that are madagainstH5921meH5921do curse bymeH5921.
For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping.
BecauseH3588of thine indignation and thy wrath: for thou hast takenmeH398upH398, and castmeH398awayH398.
My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass.
But thou, O LORD, shalt abide for ever; and thy memorial untoallיָ֭מַיYa.maiH3117generations.
Thou shalt arise, and havemercyיְ֭הוָהYah.wehH3068uponH3427Zion: for it is time to have pityuponH3427her, yea, thesetH3427time is come.

This shall be written for the generation to come: and apeopleוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808which shall be created shall praise the LORD.
For he hath lookeddownתִּכָּ֣תֶבti.Ka.tevH3789from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did theLORDיָֽהּ׃YahH3050behold the earth;

Thatmenבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121may declare the name of the LORD in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem;
When the peoples are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve theLORDH3068.
He weakened my strength in the way; he shortened my days.
I said, O my God, takemeH3117notבַדֶּ֥רֶךְva.De.rekhH1870away in the midst of mydaysH3117: thyyearsH3117arethroughoutH3117allH3117generations.
