2AndSolomonשְׁלֹמֹ֣הshe.lo.MohH8010spake untoallלְכָל־le.kholH3605Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֡לYis.ra.'ElH3478, to thecaptainsH8269ofthousandsהָאֲלָפִ֨יםha.'a.la.FimH505and ofhundredsוְהַמֵּא֜וֹתve.ha.me.'otH3967, and to thejudgesוְלַשֹּֽׁפְטִ֗יםve.la.sho.fe.TimH8199, and toeveryוּלְכֹ֛לu.le.KholH3605princeH8269inallלְכָל־le.kholH3605Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478, theheadsרָאשֵׁ֥יra.SheiH7218of thefathers’הָאָבֽוֹת׃ha.'a.VotH1houses.

4But thearkאֲר֤וֹן'a.RonH727ofGodהָאֱלֹהִים֙ha.'E.lo.HimH430hadDavidדָוִיד֙da.VidH1732broughtH5927upH5927from Kirjath-jearim to theplaceH3559thatDavidדָּוִ֑ידda.VidH1732hadpreparedH3559for it: for he hadpitchedנָֽטָה־na.tah-H5186atentאֹ֖הֶל'O.helH168for it atJerusalemבִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃bi.ru.sha.LimH3389.

5Moreover the brasenaltarוּמִזְבַּ֣חu.miz.BachH4196, thatBezalelבְּצַלְאֵל֙be.tzal.'ElH1212thesonבֶּן־ben-H1121ofUriאוּרִ֣י'u.RiH221, thesonבֶן־ven-H1121ofHurח֔וּרChurH2354, hadmadeעָשָׂה֙'a.SahH6213, was therebeforeלִפְנֵ֖יlif.NeiH6440thetabernacleמִשְׁכַּ֣ןmish.KanH4908of theLORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068: andSolomonשְׁלֹמֹ֖הshe.lo.MohH8010and thecongregationוְהַקָּהָֽל׃ve.ha.ka.HalH6951soughtוַיִּדְרְשֵׁ֥הוּvai.yid.re.She.huH1875unto it.

6AndSolomonשְׁלֹמֹ֨הshe.lo.MohH8010wentH5927upH5927thither to the brasenaltarמִזְבַּ֤חmiz.BachH4196beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440theLORDH3068,whichאֲשֶׁ֖ר'a.SherH834was at thetentלְאֹ֣הֶלle.'O.helH168ofmeetingמוֹעֵ֑דmo.'EdH4150, andofferedH5927athousandאָֽלֶף׃'A.lefH505burntעֹל֖וֹתo.LotH5930offeringsH3068uponH5921it.

7In thatnightבַּלַּ֣יְלָהba.Lay.lahH3915didH4100Godאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430appearנִרְאָ֥הnir.'AhH7200untoSolomonלִשְׁלֹמֹ֑הlish.lo.MohH8010, andsaidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him,Askשְׁאַ֖לshe.'AlH7592whatH4100I shallgiveאֶתֶּן־'e.ten-H5414thee.

8AndSolomonשְׁלֹמֹה֙she.lo.MohH8010saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559untoGodלֵֽאלֹהִ֔יםle.lo.HimH430, Thou hast shewedgreatגָּד֑וֹלga.DolH1419kindnessחֶ֣סֶדChe.sedH2617untoDavidדָּוִ֥ידda.VidH1732myfatherאָבִ֖י'a.ViH1, and hastmadeעָשִׂ֛יתָ'a.Si.taH6213meעִם־'im-H5973kingוְהִמְלַכְתַּ֖נִיve.him.lakh.Ta.niH4427in hissteadתַּחְתָּֽיו׃tach.TavH8478.

14AndSolomonשְׁלֹמֹה֮she.lo.MohH8010gatheredוַיֶּאֱסֹ֣ףvai.ye.'e.SofH622chariotsרֶ֣כֶבRe.khevH7393andhorsemenוּפָרָשִׁים֒u.fa.ra.ShimH6571: and he had athousandאֶ֤לֶף'E.lefH505andfourוְאַרְבַּע־ve.'ar.ba'-H702hundredמֵאוֹת֙me.'OtH3967chariotsרֶ֔כֶבRe.khevH7393, andtwelveעָשָׂ֥ר'a.SarH6240thousandאֶ֖לֶף'E.lefH505horsemenפָּרָשִׁ֑יםpa.ra.ShimH6571, which heplacedH3240in thechariotהָרֶ֔כֶבha.Re.khevH7393citiesבְּעָרֵ֣יbe.'a.ReiH5892, and with thekingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428atJerusalemבִּירֽוּשָׁלִָֽם׃bi.Ru.sha.LimH3389.

15And thekingהַמֶּ֜לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428madeוַיִּתֵּ֨ןvai.yi.TenH5414silverהַכֶּ֧סֶףha.Ke.sefH3701andgoldהַזָּהָ֛בha.za.HavH2091to be inJerusalemבִּירוּשָׁלִַ֖םbi.ru.sha.LimH3389asstonesכָּאֲבָנִ֑יםka.'a.va.NimH68, andcedarsהָאֲרָזִ֗יםha.'a.ra.ZimH730madeנָתַ֛ןna.TanH5414he to be as the sycomoretreesכַּשִּׁקְמִ֥יםka.shik.MimH8256that are in thelowlandבַּשְּׁפֵלָ֖הba.she.fe.LahH8219, forabundanceלָרֹֽב׃la.RoH7230.

16And thehorsesהַסּוּסִ֛יםha.su.SimH5483whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834Solomonלִשְׁלֹמֹ֖הlish.lo.MohH8010had werebroughtH3947out ofEgyptמִמִּצְרָ֑יִםmi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714; theking’sהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428merchantsסֹחֲרֵ֣יso.cha.ReiH5503receivedH3947them in droves, each drove at apriceבִּמְחִֽיר׃bim.ChirH4242.
