9“Butbe on your guardΒλέπετεBlepeteG991; for they willhandG3860you overG3860to thecourtsσυνέδρια,sunedriaG4892,and you will be floggedδαρήσεσθεdarēsestheG1194in thesynagoguesσυναγωγὰςsunagōgasG4864,and you will standσταθήσεσθεstathēsestheG2476beforeἐπὶepiG1909governorsἡγεμόνωνhēgemonōnG2232and kingsβασιλέωνbasileōnG935for My sakeἕνεκενhenekenG1752,as a testimonyμαρτύριονmarturionG3142to them.

11And whenὅτανhotanG3752theyarrestἄγωσινagōsinG71you and handG3860you overG3860,do not worryG4305beforehandG4305aboutG4305whatτίtiG5101you are to sayλαλήσητεlalēsēteG2980,but sayλαλεῖτε·laleiteG2980whateverὃ ἐὰνho eanG3739 G1437is givenδοθῇdothēaG1325you at that timeὥρᾳ,hōraG5610;for you are not the ones speakingλαλοῦντεςlalountesG2980, but it isthe Holyἅγιον.hagionG40SpiritπνεῦμαpneumaG4151.

12And brotherἀδελφὸςadelphosG80will betrayπαραδώσειparadōseiG3860brotherἀδελφὸνadelphonG80to deathθάνατονthanatonG2288,and a fatherπατὴρpatērG3962hischildτέκνον,teknonG5043;and childrenτέκναteknaG5043will riseἐπαναστήσονταιepanastēsontaiG1881upG1881againstἐπὶepiG1909parentsγονεῖςgoneisG1118andhave them putθανατώσουσινthanatōsousinG2289toG2289deathG2289.

13Andyou will be hatedμισούμενοιmisoumenoiG3404by everyoneπάντωνpantōnG3956becauseδιὰdiaG1223of My nameὄνομάonomaG3686,but it is the one who has enduredὑπομείναςhupomeinasG5278to the endτέλος,telosG5056whoοὗτοςhoutosG3778will be savedσωθήσεται.sōthēsetaiG4982.

14“NowδὲdeG1161whenὅτανhotanG3752you seeG3708theabominationβδέλυγμαbdelugmaG946of desolationἐρημώσεωςerēmōseōsG2050standingἑστηκόταhestēkotaG2476whereὅπουhopouG3699it shouldδεῖ,deiG1163not be--let thereaderἀναγινώσκωνanaginōskōnG314understandνοείτω,noeitōG3539--thenτότεtoteG5119thoseG3588whoG3588are in JudeaἸουδαίᾳIoudaiaG2449must fleeφευγέτωσανpheugetōsanG5343to the mountainsὄρη·orēG3735.

15WhoeverG3588is on thehousetopδώματοςdōmatosG1430must not goG2597downG2597,norμηδὲmēdeG3366goεἰσελθάτωeiselthatōG1525inG1525to getἆραίaraiG142anythingτιtiG5100out of his houseοἰκίαςoikiasG3614.

16AndwhoeverG3588is in the fieldἀγρὸνagronG68must not turnG1994backὀπίσωopisōG3694 G1994to getἆραιaraiG142his cloakἱμάτιονhimationG2440.

17But woeοὐαὶouaiG3759to thoseG3588womenG3588who are pregnantγαστρὶgastriG1064,and to thoseG3588who are nursingG2337babiesG2337in thoseG3588daysἡμέραις.hēmeraisG2250!

18MoreoverδὲdeG1161,prayπροσεύχεσθεproseuchestheG4336that it will not happenγένηταιgenētaiG1096in winterχειμῶνος.cheimōnosG5494.

19For thoseἐκεῖναιekeinaiG1565daysἡμέραιhēmeraiG2250will be suchοἵαoiaG3634a time oftribulationθλῖψιςthlipsisG2347as has not occurredG1096sinceἀπ᾽ap᾽G575the beginningἀρχῆςarchēsG746of the creationκτίσεωςktiseōsG2937whichἣνhēnG3739GodθεὸςtheosG2316createdἔκτισενektisenG2936untilἕωςhe'ōsG2193nowνῦνnunG3568,and neverμὴmēG3756 G3361will again.

20And ifεἰeiG1487the LordκύριοςkuriosG2962had not shortenedἐκολόβωσενekolobōsenG2856thosedaysἡμέρας,hēmerasG2250,noοὐκ πᾶσαouk pasaG3756 G3956lifeσάρξ·sarxG4561would have been savedἐσώθηesōthēG4982;but for the sakeδιὰdiaG1223of theelectἐκλεκτοὺςeklektousG1588,whomοὓςhousG3739He choseἐξελέξατοexelexatoG1586,He shortenedἐκολόβωσενekolobōsenG2856the daysἡμέρας.hēmerasG2250.

21And thenτότεtoteG5119ifἐάνeanG1437anyoneτιςtisG5100saysG3004to you, ‘LookἴδεideG2396,hereὧδεhōdeG5602is theChristχριστόςchristosG5547’; or, ‘LookἴδεideG2396,thereἐκεῖ,ekeiG1563He is’;do not believeπιστεύετε.pisteueteG4100it;

22for falseψευδόχριστοιpseudochristoiG5580christsG5580andfalseψευδοπροφῆταιpseudoprophētaiG5578prophetsG5578will ariseἐγερθήσονταιegerthēsontaiG1453,and will provideG4160signsσημεῖαsēmeiaG4592andwondersτέραταterataG5059,inG4314orderG4314toG4314misleadἀποπλανᾶνapoplananG635,ifεἰeiG1487possibleδυνατὸνdunatonG1415,the electἐκλεκτούς.eklektousG1588.
