Luke 19:13-25

13And he calledκαλέσαςkalesasG2564tenδέκαdekaG1176of his ownἑαυτοῦhe'autouG1438slavesδούλουςdoulousG1401and gaveἔδωκενedōkenG1325them tenδέκαdekaG1176minasμνᾶςmnasG3414,and saidG3004to them, ‘DoG4231businessG4231with this moneyuntilἐν ᾧen hōG1722 G3739I comeἔρχομαι.erchomaiG2064back.’

14But his citizensπολῖταιpolitaiG4177hatedἐμίσουνemisounG3404him and sentἀπέστειλανapesteilanG649a delegationπρεσβείανpresbeianG4242afterὀπίσωopisōG3694him, sayingλέγοντες·legontesG3004, ‘We do not wantθέλομενthelomenG2309thisG3778manτοῦτονtoutonG3778to reignβασιλεῦσαιbasileusaiG936overἐφ᾽eph᾽G1909us.’

15WhenἐνenG1722he returnedἐπανελθεῖνepaneltheinG1880after receivingλαβόνταlabontaG2983the kingdomβασιλείανbasileianG932,he orderedG3004that theseτούτουςtoutousG3778slavesδούλουςdoulousG1401,to whomοἷςhoisG3739he had givenδεδώκειdedōkeiG1325the moneyἀργύριον,argurionG694,be summonedφωνηθῆναιphōnēthēnaiG5455to him soG2443thatG2443he would learnγνοῖgnoiG1097howG5101muchG5101they had madeG1281byG1281theG1281businessG1281they had doneG1281.

16The firstπρῶτοςprōtosG4413slaveappearedΠαρεγένετοParegenetoG3854,sayingλέγων·legōnG3004, ‘Masterκύριε,kurieG2962, yourminaμνᾶmnaG3414has madeG4333tenδέκαdekaG1176minasμνᾶς.mnasG3414moreG4333.’

17And he saidG3004to him, ‘WellG2104doneG2104,goodἀγαθὲagatheG18slaveδοῦλε,douleG1401;sinceὅτιhotiG3754you have beenἐγένου,egenouG1096faithfulπιστὸςpistosG4103in a veryἐλαχίστῳelachistōG1646littleG1646thingG1646,you are to haveἔχωνechōnG2192authorityἐξουσίανexousianG1849overἐπάνωepanōG1883tenδέκαdekaG1176citiesπόλεων.¶poleōnG4172.’

18The secondδεύτεροςdeuterosG1208oneG1208cameἦλθενēlthenG2064,sayingλέγων·legōnG3004, ‘YourminaμνᾶmnaG3414,masterκύριε,kurieG2962,has madeἐποίησενepoiēsenG4160fiveπέντεpenteG4002minasμνᾶς.mnasG3414.’

19And he saidG3004to him alsoG2532, ‘And you are to be overἐπάνωepanōG1883fiveπέντεpenteG4002citiesπόλεων.¶poleōnG4172.’

20And thenanotherἕτεροςheterosG2087cameἦλθενēlthenG2064,sayingλέγων·legōnG3004, ‘Masterκύριε,kurieG2962,hereἰδοὺidouG2400is your minaμνᾶmnaG3414,whichἣνhēnG3739I keptεἶχονeichonG2192tuckedG606awayG606in a handkerchiefσουδαρίῳ·soudariōG4676;

21for I wasG5399afraidἐφοβούμηνephoboumēnG5399of you, becauseὅτιhotiG3754you are a demandingαὐστηρὸςaustērosG840manἄνθρωποςanthrōposG444;you takeαἴρειςaireisG142upG142whatὃhoG3739you did not layG5087downἔθηκαςethēkasG5087,and reapθερίζειςtherizeisG2325whatὃhoG3739you did not sowἔσπειρας.¶espeirasG4687.’

22He saidΛέγειLegeiG3004to him, ‘From your own lipsστόματόςstomatosG4750I will judgeκρινῶkrinōG2919you, you worthlessπονηρὲponēreG4190slaveδοῦλε.douleG1401.Did you knowG3609that I amεἰμιeimiG1510a demandingαὐστηρόςaustērosG840manἄνθρωποςanthrōposG444,takingG142upG142whatὃhoG3739I did not layG5087downἔθηκαethēkaG5087,and reapingθερίζωνtherizōnG2325whatὃhoG3739I did not sowἔσπειρα·espeiraG4687?

23And sowhyδιὰ τίdia tiG1223 G5101did you not putἔδωκάςedōkasG1325my moneyἀργύριονargurionG694in the bankτράπεζαν,trapezanG5132,and when I cameἐλθὼνelthōnG2064back,I would have collectedἔπραξα;epraxaG4238it with interestτόκῳtokōG5110?’

24And thenhe saidG3004to the other slaveswho were presentπαρεστῶσινparestōsinG3936, ‘TakeἄρατεarateG142the minaμνᾶνmnanG3414awayG142from him and giveδότεdoteG1325it to the one who hasἔχοντι.echontiG2192the tenδέκαdekaG1176minasμνᾶςmnasG3414.’

25And they saidG3004to him, ‘Masterκύριε,kurieG2962, he alreadyhasἔχειecheiG2192tenδέκαdekaG1176minasμνᾶς.mnasG3414.’
