Luke 19:13-25

13And he calledκαλέσαςkalesasG2564tenδέκαdekaG1176of his slavesδούλουςdoulousG1401,and gaveἔδωκενedōkenG1325them tenδέκαdekaG1176minasμνᾶςmnasG3414and saidG3004to them, ‘DoG4231businessG4231with thisuntilἐν ᾧen hōG1722 G3739I comeἔρχομαι.erchomaiG2064back.’

14But his citizensπολῖταιpolitaiG4177hatedἐμίσουνemisounG3404him and sentἀπέστειλανapesteilanG649a delegationπρεσβείανpresbeianG4242afterὀπίσωopisōG3694him, sayingλέγοντες·legontesG3004, ‘We do not wantθέλομενthelomenG2309thisG3778manτοῦτονtoutonG3778to reignβασιλεῦσαιbasileusaiG936overἐφ᾽eph᾽G1909us.’

15WhenἐνenG1722he returnedἐπανελθεῖνepaneltheinG1880,after receivingλαβόνταlabontaG2983the kingdomβασιλείανbasileianG932,he orderedG3004that theseτούτουςtoutousG3778slavesδούλουςdoulousG1401,to whomοἷςhoisG3739he had givenδεδώκειdedōkeiG1325the moneyἀργύριον,argurionG694,be calledφωνηθῆναιphōnēthēnaiG5455to him soἵναinaG2443that he might knowγνοῖgnoiG1097whatτίtiG5101businessG1281they had doneG1281.

16The firstπρῶτοςprōtosG4413appearedΠαρεγένετοParegenetoG3854,sayingλέγων·legōnG3004, ‘Masterκύριε,kurieG2962, yourminaμνᾶmnaG3414has madeG4333tenδέκαdekaG1176minasμνᾶς.mnasG3414moreG4333.’

17And he saidG3004to him, ‘WellG1065doneG2095,goodἀγαθὲagatheG18slaveδοῦλε,douleG1401,becauseὅτιhotiG3754you have beenἐγένου,egenouG1096faithfulπιστὸςpistosG4103in a veryἐλαχίστῳelachistōG1646littleG1646thingG1646,you are to be in authorityἐξουσίανexousianG1849overἐπάνωepanōG1883tenδέκαdekaG1176citiesπόλεων.¶poleōnG4172.’

18The secondδεύτεροςdeuterosG1208cameἦλθενēlthenG2064,sayingλέγων·legōnG3004, ‘YourminaμνᾶmnaG3414,masterκύριε,kurieG2962,has madeἐποίησενepoiēsenG4160fiveπέντεpenteG4002minasμνᾶς.mnasG3414.’

19And he saidG3004to him alsoG2532, ‘And you are to be overἐπάνωepanōG1883fiveπέντεpenteG4002citiesπόλεων.¶poleōnG4172.’

20AnotherἕτεροςheterosG2087cameἦλθενēlthenG2064,sayingλέγων·legōnG3004, ‘Masterκύριε,kurieG2962,hereἰδοὺidouG2400is your minaμνᾶmnaG3414,whichἣνhēnG3739I keptεἶχονeichonG2192putG606awayG606in a handkerchiefσουδαρίῳ·soudariōG4676;

21for I was afraidἐφοβούμηνephoboumēnG5399of you, becauseὅτιhotiG3754you are an exactingαὐστηρὸςaustērosG840manἄνθρωποςanthrōposG444;you takeαἴρειςaireisG142up whatὃhoG3739you did not layG5087downἔθηκαςethēkasG5087and reapθερίζειςtherizeisG2325whatὃhoG3739you did not sowἔσπειρας.¶espeirasG4687.’

24ThenG2532he saidG3004to the bystandersπαρεστῶσινparestōsinG3936, ‘TakeἄρατεarateG142the minaμνᾶνmnanG3414awayG142from him and giveδότεdoteG1325it to the one who hasἔχοντι.echontiG2192the tenδέκαdekaG1176minasμνᾶςmnasG3414.’

25And they saidG3004to him, ‘Masterκύριε,kurieG2962,he hasἔχειecheiG2192tenδέκαdekaG1176minasμνᾶς.mnasG3414already.’
