32JesusἸησοῦς·IēsousG2424thenοὖνounG3767saidλέγωlegōG3004to them,“TrulyἀμὴνamēnG281,trulyἀμὴνamēnG281,I sayG3004to you, it is not MosesΜωϋσῆςMōusēsG3475who has givenδέδωκενdedōkenG1325you the breadἄρτονartonG740out of heavenοὐρανοῦ,ouranouG3772,but it is My FatherπατήρpatērG3962who givesδίδωσινdidōsinG1325you the trueἀληθινόν.alēthinonG228breadἄρτονartonG740out of heavenοὐρανοῦouranouG3772.
33For the breadἄρτοςartosG740of GodθεοῦtheouG2316is that whichcomesG2597downκαταβαίνωνkatabainōnG2597out of heavenοὐρανοῦouranouG3772and givesδιδοὺςdidousG1325lifeζωὴνzōēnG2222to the worldκόσμῳ.¶kosmōG2889.”
34ThenοὖνounG3767they saidG3004to Him, “Lordκύριε,kurieG2962,alwaysπάντοτεpantoteG3842giveδὸςdosG1325us thisτοῦτον.¶toutonG3778breadἄρτονartonG740.”
35JesusἸησοῦς·IēsousG2424saidG3004to them, “I amεἰμιeimiG1510the breadἄρτοςartosG740of lifeζωῆς·zōēsG2222;the one who comesἐρχόμενοςerchomenosG2064to Me will not beG3983hungryG3983,and the one who believesπιστεύωνpisteuōnG4100in Mewill neverG3756G3361beG1372thirstyG1372.
36ButI saidG3004to you that you have indeedG2532seenἑωράκατέhe'ōrakateG3708Me, and yetyou do not believeπιστεύετε.pisteueteG4100.
37EverythingπᾶνpanG3956that the FatherπατὴρpatērG3962givesδίδωσίνdidōsinG1325Me will comeἥξει,hēxeiG2240to Me, and the one who comesἐρχόμενονerchomenonG2064to Me I certainlyοὐ μὴou mēG3756G3361will not castἐκβάλωekbalōG1544outG1544.
38ForI have comeκαταβέβηκαkatabebēkaG2597downG2597from heavenοὐρανοῦouranouG3772,not to doποιῶpoiōG4160My ownG1699willθέλημαthelēmaG2307, butthe willθέλημαthelēmaG2307of Him whosentπέμψαντόςpempsantosG3992Me.
39And thisτοῦτοtoutoG3778is the willθέλημαthelēmaG2307of Him who sentπέμψαντόςpempsantosG3992Me, that ofeverythingπᾶνpanG3956that He has givenδέδωκένdedōkenG1325Me I willloseἀπολέσωapolesōG622nothingμὴmēG3361, but willraiseἀναστήσωanastēsōG450it upG450on the lastἐσχάτῃeschatēG2078dayἡμέρᾳ.hēmeraG2250.
40For thisτοῦτοtoutoG3778is the willθέλημαthelēmaG2307of My FatherπατρόςpatrosG3962,that everyoneπᾶςpasG3956whoseesθεωρῶνtheōrōnG2334the SonυἱὸνhuionG5207andbelievesπιστεύωνpisteuōnG4100in Him will haveἔχῃechēG2192eternalαἰώνιον,aiōnionG166lifeζωὴνzōēnG2222,and I MyselfἐγὼegōG1473willraiseἀναστήσωanastēsōG450him upG450on the lastἐσχάτῃeschatēG2078dayἡμέρᾳ.¶hēmeraG2250.”
41SoG3767thenG3767the JewsἸουδαῖοιIoudaioiG2453were complainingἘγόγγυζονEgonguzonG1111aboutπερὶperiG4012Him becauseὅτιhotiG3754He saidG3004,“I amεἰμιeimiG1510the breadἄρτοςartosG740thatcameκαταβὰςkatabasG2597downG2597out of heavenοὐρανοῦ·ouranouG3772.”
42And they were sayingἔλεγον·elegonG3004, “Is thisοὗτόςhoutosG3778not JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424,the sonυἱὸςhuiosG5207of JosephἸωσήφ,IōsēphG2501,whoseοὗhouG3739fatherπατέραpateraG3962and motherμητέρα;mēteraG3384we knowG3609?HowπῶςpōsG4459does He nowνῦνnunG3568sayλέγειlegeiG3004, ‘I have comeκαταβέβηκα;¶katabebēkaG2597downG2597out of heavenοὐρανοῦouranouG3772’?”
43JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424answeredἈπεκρίθηApekrithēG611and saidG3004to them,“StopμὴmēG3361complainingγογγύζετεgonguzeteG1111amongμετ᾽met᾽G3326yourselvesἀλλήλων.allēlōnG240.
44NoG3762oneοὐδεὶςoudeisG3762canδύναταιdunataiG1410comeἐλθεῖνeltheinG2064to Me unlessἐὰν μὴean mēG1437G3361the FatherπατὴρpatērG3962who sentπέμψαςpempsasG3992MedrawsἑλκύσῃhelkusēG1670him; and I willraiseἀναστήσωanastēsōG450him upG450on the lastἐσχάτῃeschatēG2078dayἡμέρᾳ.hēmeraG2250.
45It is writtenγεγραμμένονgegrammenonG1125in the Prophetsπροφήταις·prophētaisG4396: ‘And they shall allπάντεςpantesG3956betaughtδιδακτοὶdidaktoiG1318of Godθεοῦ.theouG2316.’EveryoneπᾶςpasG3956who has heardἀκούσαςakousasG191and learnedμαθὼνmathōnG3129from the FatherπατρὸςpatrosG3962,comesἔρχεταιerchetaiG2064to Me.
46Not that anyoneτιςtisG5100has seenἑώρακένhe'ōrakenG3708the FatherπατέραpateraG3962,exceptG1508the One who is from Godθεοῦ,theouG2316;He has seenἑώρακενhe'ōrakenG3708the Fatherπατέρα.¶pateraG3962.
47TrulyἈμὴνAmēnG281,trulyἀμὴνamēnG281,I sayλέγωlegōG3004to you, the one who believesπιστεύωνpisteuōnG4100hasἔχειecheiG2192eternalαἰώνιον.aiōnionG166lifeζωὴνzōēnG2222.
