Luke 22:52-66
52ThenG2532 JesusG2424 saidG3004 to the chiefG749 priestsG749 and 1officersG4755 of the templeG2413 and eldersG4245 who had comeG3854 againstG1909 Him, “Have you comeG1831 out with swordsG3162 and clubsG3586 2as you would againstG1909 a robberG3027? 53While I was with you dailyG2596G2250 in the templeG2413, you did not layG1614 handsG5495 on Me; but 3thisG3778 hourG5610 and the powerG1849 of darknessG4655 are yoursG4771.”
544Having arrestedG4815 Him, they ledG71 Him away and broughtG1521 Him to the houseG3614 of the highG749 priestG749; but 5PeterG4074 was followingG190 at a distanceG3113. 556After they had kindledG4015 a fireG4442 in the middleG3319 of 7the courtyardG833 and had satG4776 downG4776 togetherG4776, PeterG4074 was sittingG2521 amongG3319 them. 56And a servant-girlG3814, seeingG3708 him as he satG2521 in the firelightG5457 and lookingG816 intentlyG816 at him, saidG3004, “ThisG3778 manG3778 was with Him tooG2532.” 57But he deniedG720 it, sayingG3004, “WomanG1135, I do not knowG3609 Him.” 58A littleG1024 laterG3326, 8anotherG2087 sawG3708 him and saidG5346, “You are one of them tooG2532!” But PeterG4074 saidG5346, “ManG444, I amG1510 not!” 59After aboutG5616 an hourG5610 had passedG1339, anotherG243 manG243 began to insistG1340, sayingG3004, “CertainlyG1909G225 thisG3778 manG3778 alsoG2532 was with Him, 9for he is a GalileanG1057 tooG2532.” 60But PeterG4074 saidG3004, “ManG444, I do not knowG3609 whatG3739 you are talkingG3004 about.” ImmediatelyG3916, while he was stillG2089 speakingG2980, a roosterG220 crowedG5455. 6110The LordG2962 turnedG4762 and lookedG1689 at PeterG4074. And PeterG4074 rememberedG5279 the wordG3056 of the LordG2962, howG5613 He had toldG3004 him, “11BeforeG4250 a roosterG220 crowsG5455 todayG4594, you will denyG533 Me threeG5151 timesG5151.” 62And he wentG1831 out and weptG2799 bitterlyG4090.
6312Now the menG435 who were holdingG4912 13Jesus in custodyG4912 were mockingG1702 Him and beatingG1194 Him, 64and they blindfoldedG4028 Him and were askingG1905 Him, sayingG3004, “14ProphesyG4395, whoG5101 is the one who hitG3817 You?” 65And they were sayingG3004 manyG4183 otherG2087 thingsG4183 againstG1519 Him, 15blasphemingG987.
6616WhenG5613 it was dayG2250, 17the 18CouncilG4244 of eldersG4244 of the peopleG2992 assembledG4863, bothG5037 chiefG749 priestsG749 and scribesG1122, and they ledG520 Him awayG520 to their 19councilG4892 chamber, sayingG3004,
