Galatians 2:6-21
6But from thoseG3588 who 1were of highG5100 2reputationG1380 (whatG3697 they were makesG1308 noG3762 differenceG1308 to me; 3GodG2316 4showsG2983 noG3756 partialityG4383)--wellG1063, thoseG3588 who were of reputationG1380 contributedG4323 nothingG3762 to me. 7But on the contraryG5121, seeingG3708 that I had been 5entrustedG4100 with the 6gospelG2098 7to the uncircumcisedG203, justG2531 as 8PeterG4074 had been 9to the circumcisedG4061 8(for He who effectuallyG1754 workedG1754 for PeterG4074 in his 10apostleshipG651 11to the circumcisedG4061 effectuallyG1754 workedG1754 for me alsoG2532 to the GentilesG1484), 9and recognizingG1097 12the graceG5485 that had been givenG1325 to me, 1314JamesG2385 and 15CephasG2786 and JohnG2491, who were 16reputedG1380 to be 17pillarsG4769, gaveG1325 to me and 18BarnabasG921 the 19rightG1188 20handG1188 of fellowshipG2842, soG2443 that we might 21go to the GentilesG1484 and they to the circumcisedG4061. 10They onlyG3440 asked us to rememberG3421 the poorG4434--22the veryG846 thingG846 I alsoG2532 was eagerG4704 to doG4160.
11But whenG3753 23CephasG2786 cameG2064 to 24AntiochG490, I opposedG436 him to his faceG4383, becauseG3754 he 25stood condemnedG2607. 12For priorG4253 to the comingG2064 of certainG5100 menG5100 from 2627JamesG2385, he used to 28eatG4906 with the GentilesG1484; but whenG3753 they cameG2064, he began to withdrawG5288 and holdG873 himselfG1438 aloofG873, 29fearingG5399 30the party of the circumcisionG4061. 13The restG3062 of the JewsG2453 joinedG4942 him in hypocrisyG4942, with the resultG5620 that evenG2532 31BarnabasG921 was carriedG4879 awayG4879 by their hypocrisyG5272. 14But whenG3753 I sawG3708 that they 32were not 33straightforwardG3716 aboutG4314 34the truthG225 of the gospelG2098, I saidG3004 to 35CephasG2786 in the presenceG1715 of allG3956, “IfG1487 you, beingG5225 a JewG2453, 36liveG2198 likeG1483 the GentilesG1483 and not likeG2452 the JewsG2452, howG4459 is it that you compelG315 the GentilesG1484 to liveG2450 likeG2450 JewsG2450?37
15“We are 38JewsG2453 by natureG5449 and not 39sinnersG268 from amongG1537 the GentilesG1484; 16neverthelessG1161 knowingG3609 that 40a manG444 is not justifiedG1344 by the worksG2041 of 41the LawG3551 but throughG1223 faithG4102 in ChristG5547 JesusG2424, evenG2532 we have believedG4100 in ChristG5547 JesusG2424, soG2443 that we may be justifiedG1344 by 42faithG4102 in ChristG5547 and not by the worksG2041 of 43the LawG3551; sinceG3754 44by the worksG2041 of 45the LawG3551 noG3756G3956 46fleshG4561 will be justifiedG1344. 17But ifG1487, while seekingG2212 to be justifiedG1344 in ChristG5547, we ourselvesG846 have alsoG2532 been foundG2147 47sinnersG268, is ChristG5547 thenG686 a ministerG1249 of sinG266? 48May it neverG3361 be! 18For ifG1487 I rebuildG3618 whatG3739 I have once destroyedG2647, I 49proveG4921 myselfG1683 to be a transgressorG3848. 19For throughG1223 50the LawG3551 I 51diedG599 to 52the LawG3551, soG2443 that I might liveG2198 to GodG2316. 20I have been 53crucifiedG4957 with ChristG5547; and it is noG3765 longerG3765 I who liveG2198, but 54ChristG5547 livesG2198 in me; and 55the life whichG3739 I nowG3568 liveG2198 in the fleshG4561 I liveG2198 by faithG4102 in 56the SonG5207 of GodG2316, who 57lovedG25 me and 58gaveG3860 HimselfG1438 up for me. 21I do not nullifyG114 the graceG5485 of GodG2316, for 59ifG1487 righteousnessG1343 comes throughG1223 60the LawG3551, thenG686 ChristG5547 diedG599 needlesslyG1431.”
