67Then they spitG1716 in his faceG4383, and buffeted him, and some struck him with the palms of their hand, 68sayingG3004, ProphesyG4395 to us, ChristG5547, Who isG1510 it who struck thee? 69But PeterG4074 satG2521 without in the palace-court; and a maid cameG4334 to him, sayingG3004, And thou wast with JesusG2424 the Galilaean. 70But he deniedG720 before all, sayingG3004, I do not know what thou sayest. 71And when he had goneG1831 out into the entrance, another [maid] sawG3708 him, and saysG3004 to those there, This [manG3778] alsoG2532 wasG1510 with JesusG2424 the Nazaraean. 72And againG3825 he deniedG720 with an oathG3727: I do not know the manG444. 73And after a littleG3398, those who stoodG2476 [there], comingG4334 to [him], saidG3004 to PeterG4074, TrulyG230 thou too art of them, for alsoG2532 thy speech makesG4160 thee manifest. 74Then he beganG757 to curse and to swearG3660, I know not the manG444. And immediatelyG2112 [the] cock crew. 75And PeterG4074 rememberedG3403 the word of JesusG2424, who had saidG3004 [to him], Before [the] cock crowG5455 thou shalt denyG533 me thrice. And he wentG1831 forthG1831 without, and weptG2799 bitterlyG4090.
