Matthew 26:67-75

67ThenG5119 they spitG1716 inG1519 HisG846 faceG4383 andG2532 struckG2852 HimG846. OthersG3588 slappedG4474 Him 68and saidG3004, “ProphesyG4395 to usG1473, ChristG5547! WhoG5101G1510G3588 hitG3817 YouG4771?”

69MeanwhileG1161, PeterG4074 was sittingG2521 outG1854 inG1722 theG3588 courtyardG833, andG2532 aG1520 servant girlG3814 came upG4334 to himG846. “YouG4771 alsoG2532 wereG1510 withG3326 JesusG2424 theG3588 GalileanG1057,” she saidG3004.

70ButG1161 he deniedG720 it beforeG1715 them allG3956: “I do not knowG3756G1492 whatG5101 you are talking aboutG3004.”

71WhenG1161 Peter had gone outG1831 toG1519 theG3588 gatewayG4440, anotherG243 servant girl sawG3708 himG846 andG2532 saidG3004 to the peopleG3588 thereG1563, “ThisG3778 man wasG1510 withG3326 JesusG2424 ofG3588 NazarethG3480.”

72AndG2532 againG3825 he deniedG720 it withG3326 an oathG3727: “I do not knowG3756G1492 theG3588 manG444!”

73

AfterG3326 a little whileG3398, thoseG3588 standing nearbyG2476 came upG4334 to PeterG4074. “SurelyG230 youG4771 areG1510 one ofG1537 themG846,” they saidG2036, “forG1063 yourG4771 accentG2981 givesG4160 youG4771 awayG1212.”

74At thatG5119 he beganG756 to curseG2653 andG2532 swearG3660 to them, “I do not knowG3756G1492 theG3588 manG444!”

AndG2532 immediatelyG2112 a roosterG220 crowedG5455.

75ThenG2532 PeterG4074 rememberedG3403 theG3588 wordG4487 that JesusG2424 had spokenG2046: “BeforeG4250 the roosterG220 crowsG5455, you will denyG533 MeG1473 three timesG5151.” AndG2532 he wentG1831 outsideG1854 and weptG2799 bitterlyG4090.
