Deuteronomy 8:1-10
Every commandmentH4687 which I commandH6680 thee this dayH3117 shall ye takeH3423 heedH8104 to do, that ye may liveH2421, and multiplyH7235, and enter in and possessH3423 the landH776 which Jehovah sworeH7650 unto your fathersH1.
And thou shalt rememberH2142 all the wayH1870 which Jehovah thy 1GodH430 led thee these fortyH705 yearsH8141 in the wildernessH4057, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to knowH3045 what was in thy heartH3824, whether thou wouldest keepH8104 his commandmentsH4687 or not.
And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hungerH7456, and fed thee with the mannaH4478, which thou hadst not knownH3045, and which thy fathersH1 knewH3045 not; that he might makeH3045 thee knowH3045 that manH120 doth not liveH2421 by breadH3899 aloneH905, but by everythingH3605 that goeth out of the mouthH6310 of Jehovah doth manH120 liveH2421.
Thy clothingH8071 grew not old upon thee, neither did thy footH7272 swell, these fortyH705 yearsH8141.
And knowH3045 in thy heartH3824 that, as a manH376 chasteneth his sonH1121, so Jehovah thy 2GodH430 chasteneth thee;
and thou shalt keepH8104 the commandmentsH4687 of Jehovah thy 3GodH430, to walk in his waysH1870, and to fearH3372 him.
For Jehovah thy 4GodH430 bringeth thee into a goodH2896 landH776, a landH776 of water-brooks, of springs, and of deepH8415 watersH4325, that gush forthH3318 in the valleysH1237 and hillsH2022;
a landH776 of wheatH2406, and barleyH8184, and vinesH1612, and fig-trees, and pomegranatesH7416; a landH776 of olive-trees and honeyH1706;
a landH776 wherein thou shalt eatH398 breadH3899 without scarceness, whereH834 thou shalt lackH2637 nothing; a landH776 whose stonesH68 are ironH1270, and out of whose mountainsH2042 thou wilt digH2672 copperH5178.
And thou shalt eatH398 and be filled, and shalt blessH1288 Jehovah thy 5GodH430 for the goodH2896 landH776 which he hath givenH5414 thee.
