Deuteronomy 28:49-68

49Jehovah will bring a nationH1471 against thee from afarH7350, from the endH7097 of the earthH776, like as the eagleH5404 flieth, a nationH1471 whose tongueH3956 thou understandest not; 50a nationH1471 of fierceH5794 countenance, which regardeth not the person of the oldH2205, nor is kind to the youngH5288; 51and he shall eatH398 the fruitH6529 of thy cattleH929, and the fruitH6529 of thy groundH127, until thou be destroyedH8045; for he shall not leaveH7604 thee corn, newH8492 wineH8492, or oilH3323, offspring of thy kine, or increase of thy sheepH6629, until he have destroyedH8045 thee. 52And he shall besiege thee in all thy gatesH8179, until thy highH1364 and strong wallsH2346 wherein thou trustedst comeH3381 down, throughout all thy landH776; and he shall besiege thee in all thy gatesH8179 in all thy landH776, which Jehovah thy 1GodH430 hath givenH5414 thee. 53And in the siegeH4692, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemiesH341 shall distressH4689 thee, thou shalt eatH398 the fruitH6529 of thine own bodyH1320, the fleshH1320 of thy sonsH1121 and of thy daughtersH1323 whom Jehovah thy 2GodH430 hath givenH5414 thee. 54The eyeH5869 of the manH376 in thy midst that is tenderH7390 and veryH3966 luxurious shall be evilH7489 towards his brotherH251, and the wifeH802 of his bosomH2436, and the residue of his children which he hath leftH3498; 55so that he will not giveH5414 to any of them of the fleshH1320 of his children that he eateth, because he hath nothing leftH7604 him in the siegeH4692 and in the straitness wherewith thine enemiesH341 shall distressH4689 thee in all thy gatesH8179. 56The eyeH5869 of the tenderH7390 and luxurious woman in thy midst who would not attempt to setH3322 the soleH3709 of her footH7272 upon the groundH776 from luxuriousness and from tenderness, shall be evilH7489 toward the husbandH376 of her bosomH2436, and her sonH1121, and her daughterH1323, 57because of her afterbirth which hath comeH3318 out between her feetH7272, and her children whom she shall bearH3205; for she shall secretly eatH398 them for want of everythingH3605 in the siegeH4692 and in the straitness wherewith thine enemyH341 shall distressH4689 thee in thy gatesH8179. 58If thou wilt not takeH8104 heedH8104 to do all the wordsH1697 of this lawH8451 that are writtenH3789 in this bookH5612, to fearH3372 this gloriousH3513 and fearful nameH8034, JEHOVAH THY GODH430; 59then Jehovah will make thy plaguesH4347 wonderfulH6381, and the plaguesH4347 of thy seedH2233, greatH1419 and persistent plaguesH4347 and evilH7451 and persistent sicknessesH2483; 60and he will bringH7725 upon thee all the diseases of EgyptH4714 which thou art afraidH3025 of, and they shall cleave unto thee. 61AlsoH1571 every sicknessH2483 and every plagueH4347 which is not writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of this lawH8451, them will Jehovah bringH5927 upon thee, until thou be destroyedH8045. 62And ye shall beH1961 leftH7604 a smallH4592 company, whereas ye were as the starsH3556 of heavenH8064 for multitudeH7230; because thou hast not hearkened to the voiceH6963 of Jehovah thy 3GodH430. 63And it shall comeH935 to pass, that as Jehovah rejoicedH7797 over you to do you goodH3190 and to multiplyH7235 you, soH3651 Jehovah will rejoiceH7797 over you to cause you to perishH6, and to destroyH8045 you; and ye shall beH1961 plucked from off the landH127 whereunto thou goest to possessH3423 it. 64And Jehovah will scatterH6327 thee among all peoplesH5971, from one endH7097 of the earthH776 even unto the otherH312 endH7097 of the earthH776; and thou shalt there serveH5647 otherH312 4godsH430, whom thou hast not knownH3045, neither thou nor thy fathersH1, woodH6086 and stoneH68. 65And among these nationsH1471 shalt thou have no restH4494, neither shall the soleH3709 of thy footH7272 have a resting-place, and Jehovah shall giveH5414 thee there a trembling heartH3820, languishing of the eyesH5869, and pining of the soulH5315. 66And thy lifeH2416 shall hang in suspense before thee; and thou shalt beH1961 in terror dayH3119 and nightH3915 and shalt beH1961 afraidH6342 of thy lifeH2416. 67In the morningH1242 thou shalt sayH559, Would that it were even! and in the eveningH6153 thou shalt sayH559, Would that it were morningH1242! through the fright of thy heartH3824 wherewith thou shalt be in terrorH6343, and through the sight of thine eyesH5869 which thou shalt seeH7200. 68And Jehovah will bringH7725 thee into EgyptH4714 againH5750 with shipsH591, by the wayH1870 whereof I saidH559 unto thee, Thou shalt seeH7200 it againH5750 no more; and there ye shall be soldH4376 unto your enemiesH341 for bondmen and bondwomen, and there shall be no man to buyH7069 [you].
