Deuteronomy 26

1And it shall beH1961, when thou art comeH935 in unto the landH776 which Jehovah thy GodH430 giveth thee for an inheritanceH5159, and possessest it, and dwellest therein, 2that thou shalt takeH3947 of the firstH7225 of all the fruitH6529 of the groundH776, which thou shalt bringH935 in from thy landH776 that Jehovah thy GodH430 giveth thee; and thou shalt putH5414 it in a basketH2935, and shalt goH1980 unto the placeH4725 which Jehovah thy GodH430 shall chooseH977, to cause his nameH8034 to dwellH7931 there. 3And thou shalt comeH935 unto the priestH3548 that shall beH1961 in those daysH3117, and sayH559 unto him, I profess this dayH3117 unto Jehovah thy GodH430, that I amH1961 comeH935 unto the landH776 which Jehovah sware unto our fathersH1 to giveH5414 us. 4And the priestH3548 shall takeH3947 the basketH2935 out of thy handH3027, and set it down before the altarH4196 of Jehovah thy GodH430. 5And thou shalt answerH6030 and sayH559 before Jehovah thy GodH430, A Syrian ready to perishH6 wasH1961 my fatherH1; and he wentH3381 downH3381 into EgyptH4714, and sojourned there, fewH4592 in number; and he becameH1961 there a nationH1471, greatH1419, mightyH6099, and populous. 6And the EgyptiansH4713 dealt ill with us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hardH7186 bondage: 7and we criedH6817 unto Jehovah, the GodH430 of our fathersH1, and Jehovah heardH8085 our voiceH6963, and sawH7200 our affliction, and our toilH5999, and our oppressionH3906; 8and Jehovah broughtH3318 us forthH3318 out of EgyptH4714 with a mightyH2389 handH3027, and with an outstretchedH5186 armH2220, and with greatH1419 terribleness, and with signsH226, and with wondersH4159; 9and he hath broughtH935 us into this placeH4725, and hath givenH5414 us this landH776, a landH776 flowingH2100 with milkH2461 and honeyH1706. 10And nowH6258, behold, I have broughtH935 the firstH7225 of the fruitH6529 of the groundH127, which thou, O Jehovah, hast givenH5414 me. And thou shalt setH5414 it downH7812 before Jehovah thy GodH430, and worship before Jehovah thy GodH430: 11and thou shalt rejoiceH8055 in all the goodH2896 which Jehovah thy GodH430 hath givenH5414 unto thee, and unto thy houseH1004, thou, and the LeviteH3881, and the sojournerH1616 that is in the midstH7130 of thee.

12When thou hast madeH5414 an endH3615 of tithingH4643 all the titheH4643 of thine increase in the thirdH7992 yearH8141, which is the yearH8141 of tithingH4643, then thou shalt giveH5414 it unto the LeviteH3881, to the sojournerH1616, to the fatherlessH3490, and to the widowH490, that they may eatH398 within thy gatesH8179, and be filled. 13And thou shalt sayH559 before Jehovah thy GodH430, I have putH5414 away the hallowed thingsH6944 out of my houseH1004, and alsoH1571 have givenH5414 them unto the LeviteH3881, and unto the sojournerH1616, to the fatherlessH3490, and to the widowH490, according to all thy commandmentH4687 which thou hast commandedH6680 me: I have not transgressed any of thy commandmentsH4687, neither have I forgottenH7911 them: 14I have not eatenH398 thereof in my mourning, neither have I putH5414 away thereof, being uncleanH2931, nor givenH5414 thereof for the deadH4191: I have hearkened to the voiceH6963 of Jehovah my GodH430; I have done according to all that thou hast commandedH6680 me. 15LookH8259 down from thy holyH6944 habitationH4583, from heavenH8064, and blessH1288 thy peopleH5971 IsraelH3478, and the groundH776 which thou hast givenH5414 us, as thou swarest unto our fathersH1, a landH776 flowingH2100 with milkH2461 and honeyH1706.

16This dayH3117 Jehovah thy GodH430 commandeth thee to do these statutesH2706 and ordinancesH4941: thou shalt therefore keepH8104 and do them with all thy heartH3824, and with all thy soulH5315. 17Thou hast avouched Jehovah this dayH3117 to beH1961 thy GodH430, and that thou wouldest walk in his waysH1870, and keepH8104 his statutesH2706, and his commandmentsH4687, and his ordinancesH4941, and hearken unto his voiceH6963: 18and Jehovah hath avouched thee this dayH3117 to beH1961 a peopleH5971 for his own possessionH5459, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keepH8104 all his commandmentsH4687; 19and to makeH5414 thee high above all nationsH1471 that he hath madeH6213, in praiseH8416, and in nameH8034, and in honorH8597; and that thou mayest beH1961 a holyH6918 peopleH5971 unto Jehovah thy GodH430, as he hath spokenH1696.
