Deuteronomy 25:5-9

If brethren dwellH3427 togetherH3162, and oneH259 of them dieH4191, and have no sonH1121, the wifeH802 of the deadH4191 shall not marry a stranger abroad: her husband's brotherH251 shall goH935 in unto her, and takeH3947 her to him as wifeH802, and perform the duty of a husband's brotherH251 unto her.

And it shall beH1961, that the firstbornH1060 that she beareth shall standH6965 in the nameH8034 of his brotherH251 who is deadH4191, that his nameH8034 beH1961 not blotted out from IsraelH3478.

But if the manH376 like not to takeH3947 his brother's wifeH2994, his brother's wifeH2994 shall goH5927 up to the gateH8179 unto the eldersH2205, and sayH559, My husband's brotherH251 refuseth to raiseH6965 up unto his brotherH251 a nameH8034 in IsraelH3478: he will not perform for me the duty of a husband's brotherH251.

Then the eldersH2205 of his cityH5892 shall callH7121 him and speakH1696 unto him; and if he standH5975 to it and sayH559, I like not to takeH3947 her;

then shall his brother's wifeH2994 come near to him before the eyesH5869 of the eldersH2205, and drawH5066 his sandalH5275 from his footH7272, and spitH3417 in his faceH6440, and shall answerH6030 and sayH559, So shall it be done unto the manH376 that will not buildH1129 up his brother's houseH1004.
