Deuteronomy 15:2-14
and this is the mannerH1697 of the release: Every creditorH5383 shall relax his handH3027 from the loan which he hath lentH5383 unto his neighbour; he shall not demand it of his neighbour, or of his brotherH251; for a release to Jehovah hath been proclaimedH7121.
Of the foreignerH5237 thou mayest demand it; but what is thine with thy brotherH251 thy handH3027 shall release;
save when there shall beH1961 no one in need among you; for Jehovah will greatly blessH1288 thee in the landH776 that Jehovah thy 1GodH430 giveth thee for an inheritanceH5159 to possessH3423 it,
if thou onlyH7535 diligently hearken unto the voiceH6963 of Jehovah thy 2GodH430, to takeH8104 heed to do all this commandmentH4687 which I commandH6680 thee this dayH3117.
For Jehovah thy 3GodH430 will blessH1288 thee, as he promised thee; and thou shalt lendH5670 on pledge to manyH7227 nationsH1471, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt ruleH4910 over manyH7227 nationsH1471, but they shall not ruleH4910 over thee.
If there beH1961 amongst you a poor man, any oneH259 of thy brethren in oneH259 of thy gatesH8179, in thy landH776 which Jehovah thy 4GodH430 giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thy heartH3824, nor shutH7092 thy handH3027 from thy brotherH251 in need;
but thou shalt openH6605 thy handH3027 bountifully unto him, and shalt certainly lendH5670 him on pledge what is sufficient for his need, [in that] which he lacketh.
Beware that there beH1961 not a wicked thought in thy heartH3824, sayingH559, The seventh yearH8141, the yearH8141 of release, is at hand; and thine eyeH5869 beH1961 evil against thy poor brotherH251, and thou givest him nought; and he cry against thee to Jehovah, and it beH1961 sinH2399 in thee.
Thou shalt bountifully giveH5414 unto him, and thy heartH3824 shall not be evil-disposed when thou givest unto him; because for this thingH1697 Jehovah thy 5GodH430 will blessH1288 thee in all thy worksH4639, and in all the business of thy handH3027.
For the needyH34 shall never ceaseH2308 from within the landH776; thereforeH3651 I commandH6680 thee, sayingH559, Thou shalt openH6605 thy handH3027 bountifully unto thy brotherH251, to thy poorH6041 and to thy needyH34, in thy landH776.
If thy brotherH251, a HebrewH5680 man, or a HebrewH5680 woman, have been soldH4376 unto thee, he shall serveH5647 thee sixH8337 yearsH8141, and in the seventhH7637 yearH8141 thou shalt let him goH7971 freeH2670 from thee.
And when thou sendest him out freeH2670 from thee, thou shalt not let him goH7971 awayH7971 emptyH7387;
thou shalt certainly furnish him from thy sheepH6629, and out of thy floorH1637, and out of thy winepressH3342: of what Jehovah thy 6GodH430 hath blessedH1288 thee with shalt thou giveH5414 unto him.
