2 Chronicles 7:17-22
17And [as for] thee, if thou wilt walkH1980 before me, as DavidH1732 thy fatherH1 walkedH1980, to do according to all that I have commandedH6680 thee, and wilt keepH8104 my statutesH2706 and mine ordinancesH4941; 18then will I establishH6965 the throneH3678 of thy kingdomH4438, according as I have covenanted with DavidH1732 thy fatherH1, sayingH559, There shall not fail thee a manH376 to ruleH4910 over IsraelH3478. 19But if ye turnH7725 awayH7725 and forsakeH5800 my statutesH2708 and my commandmentsH4687 which I have setH5414 before you, and goH1980 and serveH5647 otherH312 1godsH430 and worship them; 20then will I pluckH5428 them up by the roots out of my landH127 which I have givenH5414 them; and this houseH1004, which I have hallowed to my nameH8034, will I castH7993 out of my sight, and will makeH5414 it a proverbH4912 and a bywordH4912 among all peoplesH5971. 21And this houseH1004, which is high, shall beH1961 an astonishment to every oneH2088 that passesH5674 by it; so that he shall sayH559, WhyH4100 has Jehovah done thusH3602 to this landH776 and to this houseH1004? 22And they shall sayH559, Because they forsook Jehovah the 2GodH430 of their fathersH1, who broughtH935 them forthH3318 out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, and have attached themselves to otherH312 3godsH430, and have worshipped them and servedH5647 them; thereforeH3651 he has broughtH935 upon them all this evilH7451.
