2 Chronicles 27
Darby Bible
1JothamH3147 was twenty-five yearsH8141 old when he began to reignH4427; and he reignedH4427 sixteen yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389; and his mother's nameH8034 was Jerushah, daughterH1323 of ZadokH6659. 2And he did what was rightH3477 in the sight of Jehovah, according to all that his fatherH1 UzziahH5818 had done; onlyH7535 he entered not into the templeH1964 of Jehovah. And the peopleH5971 stillH5750 actedH7843 corruptlyH7843. 3It was he who builtH1129 the upperH5945 gateH8179 of the houseH1004 of Jehovah, and on the wallH2346 of OphelH6077 he builtH1129 much. 4And he builtH1129 citiesH5892 in the hill-country of JudahH3063, and in the forests he builtH1129 castles and towersH4026. 5And he foughtH3898 against the kingH4428 of the children of AmmonH5983, and overcame them. And the children of AmmonH5983 gaveH5414 him the same yearH8141 a hundredH3967 talentsH3603 of silverH3701, and tenH6235 thousandH505 measures of wheatH2406, and tenH6235 thousandH505 of barleyH8184. This the children of AmmonH5983 broughtH7725 again to him also in the secondH8145 yearH8141, and in the thirdH7992. 6And JothamH3147 becameH2388 strongH2388, for he preparedH3559 his waysH1870 before Jehovah his 1GodH430. 7And the restH3499 of the acts of JothamH3147, and all his warsH4421, and his waysH1870, behold, they are writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478 and JudahH3063. 8He wasH1961 twenty-five yearsH8141 old when he began to reignH4427; and he reignedH4427 sixteen yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389. 9And JothamH3147 slept with his fathersH1, and they buriedH6912 him in the cityH5892 of DavidH1732; and AhazH271 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead.
