1And when all this was finishedH3615, all IsraelH3478 that were present wentH3318 out to the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063, and brokeH7665 the columns, and hewed down the Asherahs, and demolished the highH1116 placesH1116 and the altarsH4196 in all JudahH3063 and BenjaminH1144, in EphraimH669 also and ManassehH4519, until they had destroyedH3615 them all. And all the children of IsraelH3478 returnedH7725 every manH376 to his possessionH272, into their citiesH5892. 2And HezekiahH2396 appointedH5975 the divisionsH4256 of the priestsH3548, and the LevitesH3881 after their divisionsH4256, every manH376 according to his serviceH5656, as well the priestsH3548 as the LevitesH3881, for burnt-offerings and for peace-offerings, to serveH8334 and to giveH3034 thanksH3034 and to praiseH1984 in the gatesH8179 of the courts of Jehovah. 3And [he ordered] that the king's portionH4521 [should be taken] from his substance for the burnt-offerings: for the morningH1242 and eveningH6153 burnt-offerings, for the burnt-offerings of the sabbathsH7676, and of the newH2320 moonsH2320, and of the set feastsH4150, as it is writtenH3789 in the lawH8451 of Jehovah. 4And he commanded the peopleH5971 that dweltH3427 in JerusalemH3389 to giveH5414 the portionH4521 of the priestsH3548 and the LevitesH3881, that they might be encouragedH2388 in the lawH8451 of Jehovah. 5And as soon as the commandment was published, the children of IsraelH3478 gave in abundanceH7230 the firstfruits of corn, newH8492 wineH8492 and oilH3323 and honeyH1706, and of all the increaseH7235 of the fieldH7704; and they broughtH935 in abundantly the titheH4643 of all [thingsH1697]. 6And the children of IsraelH3478 and of JudahH3063, that dweltH3427 in the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063, they alsoH1571 broughtH935 the titheH4643 of oxenH1241 and sheepH6629, and the titheH4643 of holyH6944 thingsH6944 which were consecratedH6942 to Jehovah their 1GodH430, and laid them by heapsH6194. 7In the thirdH7992 monthH2320 they beganH2490 to lay the heapsH6194, and finishedH3615 them in the seventhH7637 monthH2320. 8And HezekiahH2396 and the princesH8269 cameH935 and sawH7200 the heapsH6194, and they blessedH1288 Jehovah, and his peopleH5971 IsraelH3478. 9And HezekiahH2396 questioned the priestsH3548 and the LevitesH3881 concerning the heapsH6194. 10And AzariahH5838 the chiefH7218 priestH3548 of the houseH1004 of ZadokH6659 spoke to him and saidH559, Since they beganH2490 to bringH935 the heave-offerings into the houseH1004 of Jehovah, we have eatenH398 and been satisfiedH7646 and have leftH3498 plenty; for Jehovah has blessedH1288 his peopleH5971; and what is leftH3498 is this great store. 11And HezekiahH2396 commanded to prepareH3559 chambers in the houseH1004 of Jehovah; and they preparedH3559 [them], 12and broughtH935 in the heave-offerings and the tithesH4643 and the dedicated thingsH6944 faithfully; and over these Cononiah the LeviteH3881 was rulerH5057, and ShimeiH8096 his brotherH251 was secondH4932. 13And JehielH3171, and AzaziahH5812, and NahathH5184, and AsahelH6214, and JerimothH3406, and JozabadH3107, and ElielH447, and Jismachiah, and MahathH4287, and BenaiahH1141 were overseersH6496 under the handH3027 of Cononiah and ShimeiH8096 his brotherH251, at the command of HezekiahH2396 the kingH4428 and AzariahH5838 the rulerH5057 of the houseH1004 of 2GodH430. 14And KoreH6981 the sonH1121 of Jimnah the LeviteH3881, the doorkeeper toward the eastH4217, was over the voluntary-offerings of 3GodH430, to distribute the heave-offerings of Jehovah, and the most holyH6944 thingsH6944. 15And under him were EdenH5731 and MiniaminH4509 and JeshuaH3442 and ShemaiahH8098, AmariahH568 and ShecaniahH7935, in the citiesH5892 of the priestsH3548, in [their] setH5414 trust, to makeH5414 distributions to their brethren by [their] divisionsH4256, to the greatH1419 as to the smallH6996, 16besides those from threeH7969 yearsH8141 old and upwardH4605 who as malesH2145 were entered in the genealogicalH3187 register, — all that cameH935 into the houseH1004 of Jehovah, as the dutyH4931 of every dayH3117 required, for their serviceH5656 in their charges, according to their divisionsH4256, 17— both to the priestsH3548 enregistered according to their fathers' housesH1004, and to the LevitesH3881 from twentyH6242 yearsH8141 old and upwardH4605, in their charges, by their divisionsH4256; 18and to all their littleH2945 onesH2945, their wivesH802, and their sonsH1121, and their daughtersH1323, the whole congregation of those entered in the register; for in their trust they hallowed themselves to be holyH6944. 19And for the sonsH1121 of AaronH175 the priestsH3548 who were in the countryH7704, in the suburbs of their citiesH5892, there were, in every several cityH5892, menH376 expressed by nameH8034, to giveH5414 portionsH4490 to all the malesH2145 among the priestsH3548, and to all the LevitesH3881 that were entered in the register. 20And thus did HezekiahH2396 throughout JudahH3063, and wrought what was goodH2896 and rightH3477 and true before Jehovah his 4GodH430. 21And in every workH4639 that he undertook in the serviceH5656 of the houseH1004 of 5GodH430, and in the lawH8451, and in the commandmentsH4687, to seekH1875 his 6GodH430, he did it with all his heartH3824 and prospered.
