2 Chronicles 27

Jotham Succeeds Uzziah in Judah

11JothamH3147 was twenty-fiveH6242H2568 yearsH8141 oldH1121 when he becameH4427 kingH4427, and he reignedH4427 for sixteenH8337H6240 yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389. And his mother’sH517 nameH8034 was JerushahH3388 the daughterH1323 of ZadokH6659.

2He didH6213 what was rightH3477 in the sightH5869 of the LordH3068, according to allH3605 that his fatherH1 UzziahH5818 had doneH6213; 2howeverH7534 he did not enterH935 the templeH1964 of the LordH3068. But the peopleH5971 continuedH5750 actingH7843 corruptlyH7843.

3He builtH1129 the upperH5945 gateH8179 of the houseH1004 of the LordH3068, and he builtH1129 the wallH2346 of 3OphelH6077 extensivelyH7230.

4Moreover, he builtH1129 4citiesH5892 in the hillH2022 countryH2022 of JudahH3063, and he builtH1129 fortressesH1003 and towersH4026 on the woodedH2793 hills.

5He foughtH3898 with the kingH4428 of the AmmonitesH1121H5983 and prevailedH2388 overH5921 them so that during that yearH8141 the AmmonitesH1121H5983 gaveH5414 him 5a hundredH3967 talentsH3603 of silverH3701, 6tenH6235 thousandH505 korsH3734 of wheatH2406, and tenH6235 thousandH505 of barleyH8184. The AmmonitesH1121H5983 also paidH7725 him thisH2088 amount in the secondH8145 yearH8141 and in the thirdH7992.

67So JothamH3147 becameH2388 powerfulH2388 becauseH3588 he directedH3559 his waysH1870 beforeH6440 the LordH3068 his GodH430.

78Now the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of JothamH3147, allH3605 his warsH4421 and his waysH1870, beholdH2009, they are writtenH3789 in the BookH5612 of the KingsH4428 of IsraelH3478 and JudahH3063.

8He was 9twenty-fiveH6242H2568 yearsH8141 oldH1121 when he becameH4427 kingH4427, and he reignedH4427 in JerusalemH3389 for sixteenH8337H6240 yearsH8141.

9And JothamH3147 10layH7901 downH7901 with his fathersH1, and they buriedH6912 him in the cityH5892 of DavidH1732; and his sonH1121 AhazH271 becameH4427 kingH4427 inH8478 his placeH8478.
