2 Chronicles 21:2-20

2And he had brethren, the sonsH1121 of JehoshaphatH3092: AzariahH5838 and JehielH3171, and ZechariahH2148, and AzariahH5838, and MichaelH4317, and ShephatiahH8203: all these were sonsH1121 of JehoshaphatH3092 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478. 3And their fatherH1 had givenH5414 them greatH7227 giftsH4979 of silverH3701 and of goldH2091 and of preciousH4030 things, besides fortified citiesH5892 in JudahH3063; but the kingdomH4467 he gaveH5414 to JehoramH3088, for he was the firstbornH1060. 4And JehoramH3088 establishedH6965 himself over the kingdomH4467 of his fatherH1, and strengthenedH2388 himself; and he slewH2026 all his brethren with the swordH2719, and [certain] alsoH1571 of the princesH8269 of IsraelH3478. 5JehoramH3088 was thirty-two yearsH8141 old when he began to reignH4427; and he reignedH4427 eightH8083 yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389. 6And he walked in the wayH1870 of the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478, as did the houseH1004 of AhabH256, for the daughterH1323 of AhabH256 wasH1961 his wifeH802; and he did evilH7451 in the sight of Jehovah. 7But Jehovah wouldH14 not destroyH7843 the houseH1004 of DavidH1732, because of the covenantH1285 that he had madeH3772 with DavidH1732, and as he had promised to giveH5414 to him always a lampH5216, and to his sonsH1121. 8In his daysH3117 EdomH123 revolted from under the handH3027 of JudahH3063, and they set a kingH4428 over themselves. 9And JehoramH3088 wentH5437 over with his captains, and all the chariotsH7393 with him; and he roseH6965 up by nightH3915, and smote the Edomites who had surroundedH5437 him, and the captains of the chariotsH7393. 10But the Edomites revolted from under the handH3027 of JudahH3063 unto this dayH3117. ThenH227 LibnahH3841 revolted at the same timeH6256 from under his handH3027, because he had forsaken Jehovah the 1GodH430 of his fathersH1. 11Moreover he madeH6213 highH1116 placesH1116 on the mountainsH2022 of JudahH3063, and caused the inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389 to commit fornication, and compelled JudahH3063 [thereto]. 12And there cameH935 a writing to him from ElijahH452 the prophetH5030 sayingH559, ThusH3541 saith Jehovah, the 2GodH430 of DavidH1732 thy fatherH1: Because thou hast not walkedH1980 in the waysH1870 of JehoshaphatH3092 thy fatherH1, nor in the waysH1870 of AsaH609 kingH4428 of JudahH3063, 13but hast walked in the wayH1870 of the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478, and hast made JudahH3063 and the inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389 to commit fornication, like the fornications of the houseH1004 of AhabH256, and alsoH1571 hast slainH2026 thy brethren, thy father's houseH1004 who were betterH2896 than thyself: 14behold, Jehovah will smite with a greatH1419 stroke thy peopleH5971, and thy children, and thy wivesH802, and all thy substance, 15and thyself with sore sicknessesH2483, with a disease of thy bowelsH4578, until thy bowelsH4578 fall out by reason of the sicknessH2483 dayH3117 by dayH3117. 16And Jehovah stirredH5782 up against JehoramH3088 the spiritH7307 of the PhilistinesH6430, and of the Arabians, who [are] near the Ethiopians; 17and they cameH5927 up into JudahH3063, and brokeH1234 into it, and carried away all the substance that was foundH4672 in the king's houseH1004, and his sonsH1121 alsoH1571, and his wivesH802; so that there was no sonH1121 leftH7604 him, except JehoahazH3059 the youngestH6996 of his sonsH1121. 18And after all this, Jehovah smote him in his bowelsH4578 with an incurable sicknessH2483. 19And it came to pass, from dayH3117 to dayH3117, and at the timeH6256 when the second year wasH1961 drawing to a close, that his bowelsH4578 fell out by reason of his sicknessH2483, and he diedH4191 in cruel sufferings. And his peopleH5971 madeH6213 no burningH8316 for him, like the burningH8316 of his fathersH1. 20He wasH1961 thirty-two yearsH8141 old when he began to reignH4427, and he reignedH4427 in JerusalemH3389 eightH8083 yearsH8141, and departed without being regretted. And they buriedH6912 him in the cityH5892 of DavidH1732, but not in the sepulchres of the kingsH4428.
