Jeremiah 31:15-22
15ThusH3541 saith Jehovah: A voiceH6963 is heardH8085 in RamahH7414, lamentation, and bitter weepingH1065, RachelH7354 weepingH1065 for her children; she refuseth to be comfortedH5162 for her children, because they are not. 16ThusH3541 saith Jehovah: Refrain thy voiceH6963 from weepingH1065, and thine eyesH5869 from tearsH1832; for thy workH6468 shall be rewardedH7939, saith Jehovah; and they shall come again from the landH776 of the enemyH341. 17And there is hopeH8615 for thy latterH319 endH319, saith Jehovah; and thy children shall come again to their own borderH1366. 18I have surely heardH8085 EphraimH669 bemoaning himself thus, Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as a calfH5695 unaccustomed to the yoke: turnH7725 thou me, and I shall be turnedH7725; for thou art Jehovah my GodH430. 19Surely after that I was turnedH7725, I repentedH5162; and after that I was instructed, I smote upon my thighH3409: I was ashamedH954, yea, even confounded, because I did bearH5375 the reproachH2781 of my youthH5271. 20Is EphraimH669 my dear sonH1121? is he a darling childH3206? for as oftenH1767 as I speakH1696 against him, I do earnestly rememberH2142 him stillH5750: thereforeH3651 my heart yearneth for him; I will surely have mercyH7355 upon him, saith Jehovah.
21SetH7760 thee up waymarks, makeH7760 thee guide-posts; setH7760 thy heartH3820 toward the highwayH4546, even the wayH1870 by which thou wentest: turnH7725 again, O virginH1330 of IsraelH3478, turnH7725 again to these thy citiesH5892. 22How long wilt thou goH5437 hither and thither, O thou backsliding daughterH1323? for Jehovah hath createdH1254 a newH2319 thing in the earthH776: A woman shall encompass a manH1397.
