Isaiah 8:11-18
11For Jehovah spake thusH3541 to me with a strong handH3027, and instructed me not to walk in the wayH1870 of this peopleH5971, sayingH559, 12SayH559 ye not, A conspiracyH7195, concerning all whereof this peopleH5971 shall sayH559, A conspiracyH7195; neither fearH3372 ye their fearH3372, nor be in dread thereof. 13Jehovah of hostsH6635, him shall ye sanctifyH6942; and let him be your fearH4172, and let him be your dread. 14And he shall beH1961 for a sanctuaryH4720; but for a stoneH68 of stumbling and for a rockH6697 of offence to both the housesH1004 of IsraelH3478, for a gin and for a snareH4170 to the inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389. 15And manyH7227 shall stumbleH3782 thereon, and fallH5307, and be brokenH7665, and be snared, and be takenH3920.
16Bind thou up the testimonyH8584, sealH2856 the lawH8451 among my disciples. 17And I will waitH2442 for Jehovah, that hideth his faceH6440 from the houseH1004 of JacobH3290, and I will look for him. 18Behold, I and the childrenH3206 whom Jehovah hath givenH5414 me are for signsH226 and for wondersH4159 in IsraelH3478 from Jehovah of hostsH6635, who dwelleth in mount ZionH6726.
