Isaiah 28:14-18
14Wherefore hearH8085 the wordH1697 of Jehovah, ye scoffers, that ruleH4910 this peopleH5971 that is in JerusalemH3389: 15Because ye have saidH559, We have madeH6213 a covenantH1285 with deathH4194, and with SheolH7585 are we at agreement; when the overflowingH7857 scourge shall passH5674 through, it shall not comeH935 unto us; for we have madeH6213 liesH8267 our refugeH4268, and under falsehoodH8267 have we hidH5641 ourselves: 16thereforeH3651 thusH3541 saith the LordH136 Jehovah, Behold, I lay in ZionH6726 for a foundation a stoneH68, a tried stoneH68, a preciousH3368 corner-stoneH68 of sure foundation: he that believeth shall not be in haste. 17And I will makeH7760 justiceH4941 the line, and righteousnessH6666 the plummet; and the hailH1259 shall sweep away the refugeH4268 of liesH3577, and the watersH4325 shall overflowH7857 the hiding-place. 18And your covenantH1285 with deathH4194 shall beH1961 annulled, and your agreement with SheolH7585 shall not standH6965; when the overflowingH7857 scourgeH7752 shall passH5674 through, then ye shall beH1961 trodden down by it.
