28“But whatΤίTiG5101do you thinkδοκεῖ;dokeiG1380?A manἄνθρωποςanthrōposG444hadεἶχενeichenG2192twoδύο,duoG1417sonsτέκναteknaG5043,and he cameπροσελθὼνproselthōnG4334to the firstπρώτῳprōtōG4413and saidG3004, ‘Sonτέκνον,teknonG5043,goὕπαγεhupageG5217workἐργάζουergazouG2038todayσήμερονsēmeronG4594in thevineyardἀμπελῶνιampelōniG290.’

29But he repliedἀποκριθεὶςapokritheisG611 G3004, ‘I do not wantθέλω·thelōG2309to.’ YetG1161afterwardG5305he regrettedμεταμεληθεὶςmetamelētheisG3338it and wentἀπῆλθεν.apēlthenG565.

30And the mancameπροσελθὼνproselthōnG4334to his secondG1208sonand saidG3004the sameG5615thingG5615;and he repliedἀποκριθεὶςapokritheisG611 G3004, ‘I will,sirκύριε·kurieG2962’; and yethe did not goἀπῆλθεν.apēlthenG565.

31WhichτίςtisG5101of the twoδύοduoG1417didἐποίησενepoiēsenG4160the willθέλημαthelēmaG2307of his fatherπατρός;patrosG3962?”They saidλέγουσινlegousinG3004, “The firstπρῶτος.prōtosG4413.”JesusἸησοῦς·IēsousG2424saidλέγειlegeiG3004to them,“TrulyἀμὴνamēnG281I sayλέγωlegōG3004to you thatthe taxτελῶναιtelōnaiG5057collectorsG5057and prostitutesπόρναιpornaiG4204will getG4254into the kingdomβασιλείανbasileianG932of Godθεοῦ.theouG2316beforeG4254you.

32For JohnἸωάννηςIōannēsG2491cameἦλθενēlthenG2064to you in the wayὁδῷhodōG3598of righteousnessδικαιοσύνης,dikaiosunēsG1343and you did not believeἐπιστεύσατεepisteusateG4100him; butthe taxτελῶναιtelōnaiG5057collectorsG5057and prostitutesπόρναιpornaiG4204did believeἐπίστευσανepisteusanG4100him; and you, seeingG3708this,did not evenοὐδὲoudeG3761haveG3338secondG3338thoughtsG3338afterwardG5305so as to believeπιστεῦσαιpisteusaiG4100him.

33“Listenἀκούσατε·akousateG191to anotherἌλληνAllēnG243parableπαραβολὴνparabolēnG3850. There was alandownerοἰκοδεσπότηςoikodespotēsG3617whoὅστιςhostisG3748plantedἐφύτευσενephuteusenG5452avineyardἀμπελῶναampelōnaG290and putG4060afenceφραγμὸνphragmonG5418aroundG4060it, and dugὤρυξενōruxenG3736a wineG3025pressG3025in it, and builtᾠκοδόμησενōkodomēsenG3618a towerπύργονpurgonG4444,and he leasedἐξέδετοexedetoG1554it tovine-growersγεωργοῖςgeōrgoisG1092andwentG589onG589aG589journeyG589.

34And whenὅτεhoteG3753theharvestκαρπῶν,karpōnG2590timeκαιρὸςkairosG2540approachedἤγγισενēngisenG1448, hesentἀπέστειλενapesteilenG649his slavesδούλουςdoulousG1401to the vine-growersγεωργοὺςgeōrgousG1092to receiveλαβεῖνlabeinG2983his fruitκαρποὺςkarpousG2590.

35And the vine-growersγεωργοὶgeōrgoiG1092tookλαβόντεςlabontesG2983his slavesδούλουςdoulousG1401and beatἔδειραν,edeiranG1194oneὃνhonG3739,killedἀπέκτειναν,apekteinanG615anotherὃνhonG3739 G1161,and stonedἐλιθοβόλησαν.elithobolēsanG3036anotherὃνhonG3739.

36AgainπάλινpalinG3825, hesentἀπέστειλενapesteilenG649otherἄλλουςallousG243slavesδούλουςdoulousG1401,moreG4183than the firstπρώτων,prōtōnG4413;and they didἐποίησανepoiēsanG4160the sameG5615thingsG5615to them.

37But afterwardG5305he sentἀπέστειλενapesteilenG649his sonυἱὸνhuionG5207to them, sayingλέγων·legōnG3004, ‘They will respectἐντραπήσονταιentrapēsontaiG1788my sonυἱόνhuionG5207.’

38But when the vine-growersγεωργοὶgeōrgoiG1092sawG3708the sonυἱὸνhuionG5207,they saidG3004amongἐνenG1722themselvesἑαυτοῖς·he'autoisG1438, ‘ThisοὗτόςhoutosG3778is the heirκληρονόμος·klēronomosG2818;comeδεῦτε,deuteG1205,let’s killἀποκτείνωμενapokteinōmenG615him and takeG2192possessionG2192of his inheritanceκληρονομίανklēronomianG2817!’

39And they tookλαβόντεςlabontesG2983him and threwG1544him outG1544of the vineyardἀμπελῶνοςampelōnosG290,and killedἀπέκτειναν.apekteinanG615him.

40ThereforeοὖνounG3767,whenὅτανhotanG3752theownerκύριοςkuriosG2962of the vineyardἀμπελῶνος,ampelōnosG290comesἔλθῃelthēG2064,whatτίtiG5101will he doποιήσειpoiēseiG4160to thoseἐκείνοις;ekeinoisG1565vine-growersγεωργοῖςgeōrgoisG1092?”

41They saidλέγουσινlegousinG3004to Him, “He will bringG622thoseG846wretchesκακοὺςkakousG2556to a wretchedκακῶςkakōsG2560endG622andleaseἐκδώσεταιekdōsetaiG1554the vineyardἀμπελῶναampelōnaG290to otherἄλλοιςalloisG243vine-growersγεωργοῖςgeōrgoisG1092,whoοἵτινεςoitinesG3748will payἀποδώσουσινapodōsousinG591him the fruitκαρποὺςkarpousG2590in the properseasonsκαιροῖςkairoisG2540.”

42JesusἸησοῦς·IēsousG2424saidΛέγειLegeiG3004to them,“Did you neverοὐδέποτεoudepoteG3763readἀνέγνωτεanegnōteG314in the Scripturesγραφαῖς·graphaisG1124, ‘A stoneλίθονlithonG3037whichὃνhonG3739the buildersοἰκοδομοῦντες,oikodomountesG3618rejectedἀπεδοκίμασανapedokimasanG593,ThisοὗτοςhoutosG3778has becomeἐγενήθηegenēthēG1096thechiefκεφαλὴνkephalēnG2776cornerstoneγωνίας.gōniasG1137;Thisαὕτη,hautēG3778cameἐγένετοegenetoG1096about from the LordκυρίουkuriouG2962,And it is marvelousθαυμαστὴthaumastēG2298in our eyesὀφθαλμοῖςophthalmoisG3788’?

43Thereforeδιὰ τοῦτοdia toutoG1223 G3778I sayλέγωlegōG3004to you, the kingdomβασιλείαbasileiaG932of GodθεοῦtheouG2316will be takenG142awayἀρθήσεταιarthēsetaiG142from you and givenδοθήσεταιdothēsetaiG1325to apeopleἔθνειethneiG1484producingποιοῦντιpoiountiG4160its fruitκαρποὺςkarpousG2590.

44Andthe one who fallsπεσὼνpesōnG4098on thisτοῦτονtoutonG3778stoneλίθονlithonG3037will be brokenG4917toG4917piecesG4917;and on whomeverὃν ἂνhon anG3739 G302it fallsπέσῃ,pesēG4098,it will crushλικμήσειlikmēseiG3039him.”
