Luke 24:17-25

17And He saidG3004to them,“WhatτίνεςtinesG5101are theseοὗτοιhoutoiG3778wordsλόγοιlogoiG3056that you are exchangingἀντιβάλλετεantiballeteG474with oneἀλλήλουςallēlousG240anotherG240as you are walkingπεριπατοῦντες;peripatountesG4043?”And they cameG2476toG2476aG2476stopG2476,lookingG4659sadG4659.

18OneεἷςheisG1520of them,namedὀνόματιonomatiG3686CleopasΚλεοπᾶςKleopasG2810,answeredἀποκριθεὶςapokritheisG611and saidG3004to Him, “Are You possiblythe onlyG3441oneG3441livingG3939nearG3939JerusalemἸερουσαλὴμIerousalēmG2419who does not knowἔγνωςegnōsG1097about the things that happenedγενόμεναgenomenaG1096hereG1722 G846in theseταύταις;tautaisG3778daysἡμέραιςhēmeraisG2250?”

19And He saidG3004to them,“WhatG4169sortG4169ofG4169thingsG4169?”And they saidG3004to Him, “ThoseG3588aboutπερὶperiG4012JesusἸησοῦIēsouG2424the NazareneΝαζαρηνοῦ,NazarēnouG3479,whoὃςhosG3739provedἐγένετοegenetoG1096to be aprophetπροφήτηςprophētēsG4396mightyδυνατὸςdunatosG1415in deedἔργῳergōG2041and wordλόγῳlogōG3056inG1726theG1726sightG1726of GodθεοῦtheouG2316and allπαντὸςpantosG3956the peopleλαοῦ,laouG2992,

20and howὅπωςhopōsG3704the chiefἀρχιερεῖςarchiereisG749priestsG749and ourrulersἄρχοντεςarchontesG758handedG3860Him overG3860to be sentencedκρίμαkrimaG2917to deathθανάτουthanatouG2288,and crucifiedἐσταύρωσανestaurōsanG4717Him.

21But wewere hopingἠλπίζομενēlpizomenG1679that it was He who wasG3195goingG3195toG3195redeemλυτροῦσθαιlutrousthaiG3084IsraelἸσραήλ.IsraēlG2474.IndeedἀλλάallaG235,besidesκαὶ σὺνkai sunG2532 G4862allπᾶσινpasinG3956thisτούτοιςtoutoisG3778, it is nowthe thirdτρίτηνtritēnG5154dayἡμέρανhēmeranG2250sinceἀφ᾽ οὗaph᾽ houG575 G3739theseταύτηνtautēnG3778thingsταῦταtautaG3778happenedἐγένετο.egenetoG1096.

22But alsoκαὶkaiG2532someτινεςtinesG5100womenγυναῖκέςgunaikesG1135amongἐξexG1537us leftG1839us bewilderedG1839.When they were at the tombμνημεῖον,mnēmeionG3419earlyG3720inG3720theG3720morningG3720,

23and did not findεὑροῦσαιheurousaiG2147His bodyσῶμαsōmaG4983,they cameἦλθονēlthonG2064,sayingλέγουσαιlegousaiG3004that they had alsoG2532seenἑωρακέναιhe'ōrakenaiG3708a visionὀπτασίανoptasianG3701of angelsἀγγέλωνangelōnG32whoοἳhoiG3739saidλέγουσινlegousinG3004that He wasG2198aliveG2198.

24And sosomeτινεςtinesG5100of thoseG3588who were with us wentἀπῆλθόνapēlthonG565to the tombμνημεῖονmnēmeionG3419,and foundεὗρονheuronG2147it justG2531exactlyοὕτωςhoutōsG3779asG2531the womenγυναῖκεςgunaikesG1135alsoG2532had saidG3004;but Him they did not seeG3708.”

25And thenHe saidG3004to them, “You foolishἀνόητοιanoētoiG453menG453and slowβραδεῖςbradeisG1021of heartκαρδίᾳkardiaG2588to believeπιστεύεινpisteueinG4100in allπᾶσινpasinG3956thatthe prophetsπροφῆται·prophētaiG4396have spokenἐλάλησανelalēsanG2980!
