6WhileἐνenG1722they were thereἐκεῖekeiG1563, thetimeἡμέραιhēmeraiG2250cameG4092for her to giveG5088birthτεκεῖνtekeinG5088.

7And shegaveG5088birthG5088to her firstbornπρωτότοκονprōtotokonG4416sonυἱὸνhuionG5207;and she wrappedG4683Him inG4683clothsG4683,and laidἀνέκλινενaneklinenG347Him in amangerφάτνῃ,phatnēG5336,becauseδιότιdiotiG1360there was noοὐκoukG3756roomτόποςtoposG5117for them in the innκαταλύματι.¶katalumatiG2646.

8In the sameG846regionχώρᾳchōraG5561there were someshepherdsποιμένεςpoimenesG4166stayingG63outG63inG63theG63fieldsG63and keepingφυλάσσοντεςphulassontesG5442watchφυλακὰςphulakasG5438overἐπὶepiG1909their flockποίμνηνpoimnēnG4167at nightνυκτὸςnuktosG3571.

9Andan angelἄγγελοςangelosG32of the LordκυρίουkuriouG2962suddenlystoodG2186nearG2186them, and the gloryδόξαdoxaG1391of the LordκυρίουkuriouG2962shoneπεριέλαμψενperielampsenG4034aroundG4034them; and they wereG5399terriblyφόβον μέγαν.phobon meganG5401 G3173frightenedG5399.

10And sothe angelἄγγελος·angelosG32saidG3004to them, “Do not beG5399afraidG5399;for beholdἰδοὺidouG2400,I bringεὐαγγελίζομαιeuangelizomaiG2097you goodG2097newsG2097of greatμεγάληνmegalēnG3173joyχαρὰνcharanG5479whichἥτιςhētisG3748will be for allπαντὶpantiG3956the peopleλαῷlaōG2992;

11for todayσήμερονsēmeronG4594in the cityπόλειpoleiG4172of DavidG1160there has been bornἐτέχθηetechthēG5088for you aSaviorσωτὴρsōtērG4990,whoὅςhosG3739isChristχριστὸςchristosG5547the LordκύριοςkuriosG2962.

12AndthisτοῦτοtoutoG3778will bea signσημεῖον·sēmeionG4592for you: you will findεὑρήσετεheurēseteG2147a babyβρέφοςbrephosG1025wrappedG4683inG4683clothsG4683and lyingκείμενονkeimenonG2749in amangerφάτνῃ.phatnēG5336.”

13And suddenlyἐξαίφνηςexaiphnēsG1810there appearedἐγένετοegenetoG1096with the angelἀγγέλῳangelōG32a multitudeπλῆθοςplēthosG4128of the heavenlyοὐρανίουouraniouG3770armyστρατιᾶςstratiasG4756of angelspraisingαἰνούντωνainountōnG134GodθεὸνtheonG2316and sayingλεγόντων·legontōnG3004,

14“GloryδόξαdoxaG1391to Godθεῷ,theōG2316in the highestὑψίστοιςhupsistoisG5310,And on earthγῆςgēsG1093peaceεἰρήνηeirēnēG1515amongG1722peopleἀνθρώποιςanthrōpoisG444with whom He is pleasedεὐδοκίας.¶eudokiasG2107.”

15WhenὡςhōsG5613the angelsἄγγελοι,angeloiG32had departedἀπῆλθονapēlthonG565from them into heavenοὐρανὸνouranonG3772,the shepherdsποιμένεςpoimenesG4166begansayingἐλάλουνelalounG2980to oneἀλλήλους·allēlousG240anotherG240, “Let’s goδιέλθωμενdielthōmenG1330straightG1330to BethlehemΒηθλέεμBēthleemG965,thenδὴdēG1211,and seeG3708thisτοῦτοtoutoG3778thingῥῆμαrhēmaG4487that has happenedG1096,whichὃhoG3739the LordκύριοςkuriosG2962has madeG1107knownG1107to us.”

16And they cameἦλθανēlthanG2064in a hurryσπεύσαντεςspeusantesG4692and foundG429their wayG429toG429MaryΜαριὰμMariamG3137and JosephἸωσὴφIōsēphG2501,and the babyβρέφοςbrephosG1025as He layκείμενονkeimenonG2749in themangerφάτνῃ.phatnēG5336.

17When they had seenG3708Him,they madeG1107knownG1107the statementῥήματοςrhēmatosG4487which had been toldλαληθέντοςlalēthentosG2980them aboutG4012thisτούτου.toutouG3778ChildπαιδίουpaidiouG3813.

18And allπάντεςpantesG3956who heardἀκούσαντεςakousantesG191it wereG2296amazedG2296aboutπερὶperiG4012the things which were toldλαληθέντωνlalēthentōnG2980them by the shepherdsποιμένωνpoimenōnG4166.

19But MaryΜαριὰμMariamG3137treasuredσυνετήρειsunetēreiG4933allπάνταpantaG3956theseταῦταtautaG3778thingsῥήματαrhēmataG4487,ponderingσυμβάλλουσαsumballousaG4820them in her heartκαρδίᾳkardiaG2588.
