29WhenὡςhōsG5613He approachedἤγγισενēngisenG1448BethphageΒηθφαγὴBēthphagēG967andBethanyΒηθανίανBēthanianG963,nearπρὸςprosG4314themountainὄροςorosG3735that is calledκαλούμενονkaloumenonG2564OlivetἘλαιῶνElaiōnG1638,He sentἀπέστειλενapesteilenG649twoδύοduoG1417of the disciplesμαθητῶνmathētōnG3101,

30sayingλέγων·legōnG3004,“GoὑπάγετεhupageteG5217into the villageκώμην,kōmēnG2968aheadG2713ofG2713you;thereἐν ᾗen hēG1722 G3739,as you enterεἰσπορευόμενοιeisporeuomenoiG1531,you will findεὑρήσετεheurēseteG2147a coltπῶλονpōlonG4454tiedδεδεμένονdedemenonG1210,on whichὃνhonG3739noG3762oneοὐδεὶς ἀνθρώπωνoudeis anthrōpōnG444 G3762yetπώποτεpōpoteG4455has everG4455satἐκάθισεν·ekathisenG2523;untieλύσαντεςlusantesG3089it and bringἀγάγετε.agageteG71it here.

31And ifἐάνeanG1437anyoneτιςtisG5100asksἐρωτᾷ·erōtaG2065you, ‘Whyδιὰ τίdia tiG1223 G5101are you untyingλύετε;lueteG3089it?’you shall sayG3004thisοὕτωςhoutōsG3779: ‘The LordκύριοςkuriosG2962hasἔχει.¶echeiG2192needχρείανchreianG5532of it.’”

32SoδὲdeG1161thoseοἱhoiG3588who were sentἀπεσταλμένοιapestalmenoiG649leftἈπελθόντεςApelthontesG565and foundεὗρονheuronG2147itjustG2531asG2531He had toldG3004them.

33And as they were untyingλυόντωνluontōnG3089the coltπῶλονpōlonG4454, itsownersκύριοιkurioiG2962saidG3004to them, “WhyτίtiG5101are you untyingλύετεlueteG3089the coltπῶλον;pōlonG4454?”

34They saidG3004, “The LordκύριοςkuriosG2962hasἔχει.echeiG2192needχρείανchreianG5532of it.”

35And they broughtἤγαγονēgagonG71it to JesusἸησοῦν,IēsounG2424,and they threwἐπιρίψαντεςepiripsantesG1977their cloaksἱμάτιαhimatiaG2440on the coltπῶλονpōlonG4454and putἐπεβίβασανepebibasanG1913JesusἸησοῦν.IēsounG2424on it.

36NowδὲdeG1161as He was goingπορευομένουporeuomenouG4198,they were spreadingὑπεστρώννυονhupestrōnnuonG5291their cloaksἱμάτιαhimatiaG2440on the roadὁδῷ.¶hodōG3598.

38shoutingλέγοντες·legontesG3004: “BlessedεὐλογημένοςeulogēmenosG2127is theKingβασιλεὺςbasileusG935,the One who comesἐρχόμενοςerchomenosG2064in the nameὀνόματιonomatiG3686of the Lordκυρίου·kuriouG2962;Peaceεἰρήνη,eirēnēG1515in heavenοὐρανῷouranōG3772andgloryδόξαdoxaG1391in the highestὑψίστοις.hupsistoisG5310!”

39And yetsomeτινεςtinesG5100of the PhariseesΦαρισαίωνPharisaiōnG5330in the crowdὄχλουochlouG3793saidG3004to Him, “Teacherδιδάσκαλε,didaskaleG1320,rebukeἐπιτίμησονepitimēsonG2008Your disciplesμαθηταῖςmathētaisG3101!”

40Jesus repliedἀποκριθεὶςapokritheisG611 G3004,“I tellG3004you, ifἐὰνeanG1437theseοὗτοιhoutoiG3778stopG4623speakingG4623,the stonesλίθοιlithoiG3037will cryκράξουσιν.¶kraxousinG2896outG2896!”

41WhenὡςhōsG5613He approachedἤγγισεν,ēngisenG1448Jerusalem,He sawG3708the cityπόλινpolinG4172andweptἔκλαυσενeklausenG2799overἐπ᾽ep᾽G1909it,

42sayingλέγωνlegōnG3004,“IfεἰeiG1487you had knownἔγνωςegnōsG1097on thisταύτῃtautēG3778dayἡμέρᾳhēmeraG2250,evenκαὶkaiG2532you, the conditionsfor peaceεἰρήνηνeirēnēnG1515!But nowνῦνnunG3568they have been hiddenἐκρύβηekrubēG2928from your eyesὀφθαλμῶνophthalmōnG3788.

43For the daysἡμέραιhēmeraiG2250will comeἥξουσινhēxousinG2240upon youwhenG2532your enemiesἐχθροίechthroiG2190willputG3925upG3925abarricadeχάρακάcharakaG5482against you, andsurroundπερικυκλώσουσίνperikuklōsousinG4033you and hemG4912you inG4912on everyG3840sideπάντοθενpantothenG3840,

44and they will levelG1474you toG1474theG1474groundG1474, and throw downyour childrenτέκναteknaG5043withinG1722you, andthey will not leaveἀφήσουσινaphēsousinG863in you one stoneλίθονlithonG3037uponanotherλίθονlithonG3037,becauseἀνθ᾽ ὧνanth᾽ hōnG473 G3739you did not recognizeἔγνωςegnōsG1097the timeκαιρὸνkaironG2540of your visitationἐπισκοπῆςepiskopēsG1984.”

45And Jesus enteredεἰσελθὼνeiselthōnG1525the templeG2413groundsand beganἤρξατοērxatoG757to driveG1544outG1544thoseG3588who were sellingπωλοῦνταςpōlountasG4453,

46sayingλέγωνlegōnG3004to them,“It is writtenγέγραπται,gegraptaiG1125: ‘And My houseοἶκόςoikosG3624will be a houseοἶκοςoikosG3624of prayerπροσευχῆς·proseuchēsG4335,’but you have madeἐποιήσατεepoiēsateG4160it adenσπήλαιονspēlaionG4693of robbersλῃστῶν.lēstōnG3027.”
