19But JesusἸησοῦς·IēsousG2424saidG3004to him,“WhyτίtiG5101do you callG3004Megoodἀγαθόν;agathonG18?NoG3762oneοὐδεὶςoudeisG3762isgoodἀγαθὸςagathosG18exceptG1508Godθεός.theosG2316aloneεἷςheisG1520.

20You knowG3609the commandmentsἐντολὰςentolasG1785, ‘Do not commitμοιχεύσῃς,moicheusēsG3431adulteryG3431,Do not murderφονεύσῃς,phoneusēsG5407,Do not stealκλέψῃς,klepsēsG2813,Do not giveG5576falseψευδομαρτυρήσῃς,pseudomarturēsēsG5576testimonyG5576,HonorτίμαtimaG5091your fatherπατέραpateraG3962and motherμητέραmēteraG3384.’”

21And he saidG3004, “AllπάνταpantaG3956theseG3778thingsG3778I have keptἐφύλαξαephulaxaG5442sinceἐκekG1537myyouthνεότητοςneotētosG3503.”

22NowδὲdeG1161when JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424heardἈκούσαςAkousasG191this,He saidG3004to him,“OneἕνhenG1520thingG1520you stillἔτιetiG2089lackλείπει·leipeiG3007;sellπώλησονpōlēsonG4453allπάνταpantaG3956that you possessἔχειςecheisG2192and distributeδιάδοςdiadosG1239the moneyto the poorπτωχοῖς,ptōchoisG4434,and you will haveἕξειςhexeisG2192treasureθησαυρὸνthēsauronG2344in heavenοὐρανοῖς·ouranoisG3772;and comeδεῦρο,deuroG1204,followἀκολούθειakoloutheiG190Me.”

23But when he had heardἀκούσαςakousasG191theseG3778thingsταῦταtautaG3778,he becameἐγενήθη·egenēthēG1096veryπερίλυποςperiluposG4036sadG4036,for he was extremelyσφόδρα.¶sphodraG4970wealthyπλούσιοςplousiosG4145.

24And JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424lookedG3708at him and saidG3004, “HowπῶςpōsG4459hardδυσκόλωςduskolōsG1423it is for thoseG3588who are wealthyχρήματαchrēmataG5536to enterεἰσπορεύονται.eisporeuontaiG1531the kingdomβασιλείανbasileianG932of GodθεοῦtheouG2316!

25Forit is easierεὐκοπώτερονeukopōteronG2123for a camelκάμηλονkamēlonG2574togoεἰσελθεῖνeiseltheinG1525throughδιὰdiaG1223the eyeG5144of a needleG956,thanἢēG2228for a richπλούσιονplousionG4145personG4145to enterεἰσελθεῖν.¶eiseltheinG1525the kingdomβασιλείανbasileianG932of GodθεοῦtheouG2316!”

26Those who heardἀκούσαντες·akousantesG191HimsaidG3004, “And sowhoτίςtisG5101canδύναταιdunataiG1410be savedσωθῆναι;sōthēnaiG4982?”

27But He saidG3004, “The thingsG102thatG102areG102impossibleἀδύναταadunataG102with peopleἀνθρώποιςanthrōpoisG444are possibleδυνατὰdunataG1415with GodθεῷtheōG2316.”

28PeterΠέτρος·PetrosG4074saidG3004, “BeholdἰδοὺidouG2400,we have leftἀφέντεςaphentesG863our ownἴδιαidiaG2398homes and followedἠκολουθήσαμένēkolouthēsamenG190You.”
