Matthew 10:25-40

It is enoughG713 for the discipleG3101 that he becomeG1096 likeG5613 his teacherG1320, and the slaveG1401 likeG5613 his masterG2962. 1IfG1487 they have calledG1941 the headG3617 of the houseG3617 2 3BeelzebulG954, howG4214 muchG4214 moreG3123 will they malign the members of his householdG3615!

“ThereforeG3767 do not 4fearG5399 them, 5for there is nothingG3762 concealedG2572 that will not be revealedG601, orG2532 hiddenG2927 that will not be knownG1097. 27 6WhatG3739 I tellG3004 you in the darknessG4653, speakG3004 in the lightG5457; and whatG3739 you hearG191 whispered in your earG3775, proclaimG2784 7upon the housetopsG1430. 28Do not fearG5399 thoseG3588 who killG615 the bodyG4983 but are unableG3361 G1410 to killG615 the soulG5590; but ratherG3123 8fearG5399 Him who is ableG1410 to destroyG622 bothG2532 soulG5590 and bodyG4983 in 9 10hellG1067. 29 11Are not twoG1417 sparrowsG4765 soldG4453 for a 12centG787? And yet not oneG1520 of them will fallG4098 to the groundG1093 apartG427 from your FatherG3962. 30But 13the veryG2532 hairsG2359 of your headG2776 are allG3956 numberedG705. 31SoG3767 do not fearG5399; 14you are moreG1308 valuableG1308 than manyG4183 sparrowsG4765.

“ThereforeG3767 15everyoneG3956 whoG3748 16confessesG3670 Me beforeG1715 menG444, I will alsoG2532 confessG3670 17him beforeG1715 My FatherG3962 who is in heavenG3772. 33But 18whoeverG3748 G302 19deniesG720 Me beforeG1715 menG444, I will alsoG2532 denyG720 him beforeG1715 My FatherG3962 who is in heavenG3772.

“20Do not thinkG3543 that I cameG2064 to 21bringG906 peaceG1515 on the earthG1093; I did not comeG2064 to bringG906 peaceG1515, but a swordG3162. 35For I cameG2064 to 22setG1369 a manG444 againstG2596 his fatherG3962, and a daughterG2364 againstG2596 her motherG3384, and a daughter-in-lawG3565 againstG2596 her mother-in-lawG3994; 36and 23a man’sG444 enemiesG2190 will be the members of his householdG3615.

“24He who lovesG5368 fatherG3962 orG2228 motherG3384 moreG5228 thanG5228 Me is not worthyG514 of Me; and he who lovesG5368 sonG5207 orG2228 daughterG2364 moreG5228 thanG5228 Me is not worthyG514 of Me. 38And 25he whoG3739 does not takeG2983 his crossG4716 and followG190 afterG3694 Me is not worthyG514 of Me. 39 26He who has foundG2147 his 27lifeG5590 will loseG622 it, and he who has lostG622 his 28lifeG5590 for My sakeG1752 will findG2147 it.

“29He who receivesG1209 you receivesG1209 Me, and 30he who receivesG1209 Me receivesG1209 Him who sentG649 Me.
