Matthew 10:16-28
“1BeholdG2400, I sendG649 you out as sheepG4263 in the midstG3319 of wolvesG3074; soG3767 2be 3shrewdG5429 as serpentsG3789 and 4innocentG185 as dovesG4058. 17But bewareG4337 of menG444, for they will handG3860 you over to the 5courtsG4892 and scourgeG3146 you 6in their synagoguesG4864; 18and you will evenG2532 be broughtG71 beforeG1909 governorsG2232 and kingsG935 for My sakeG1752, as a testimonyG3142 to them and to the GentilesG1484. 197But whenG3752 they handG3860 you over, 8do not worryG3309 about howG4459 orG2228 whatG5101 you are to sayG2980; for it will be givenG1325 you in that hourG5610 whatG5101 you are to sayG2980. 20For 9it is not you who speakG2980, but it is the SpiritG4151 of your FatherG3962 who speaksG2980 in you.
“10BrotherG80 will betrayG3860 brotherG80 to deathG2288, and a fatherG3962 his childG5043; and 11childrenG5043 will riseG1881 up againstG1909 parentsG1118 and 12causeG2289 them to be putG2289 to deathG2289. 2213You will be hatedG3404 by allG3956 becauseG1223 of My nameG3686, but 14it is the one who has enduredG5278 to the endG5056 who will be savedG4982.
“But wheneverG3752 they 15persecuteG1377 you in 16oneG3778 cityG4172, fleeG5343 to 17the nextG2087; for trulyG281 I sayG3004 to you, you will not finishG5055 going through the citiesG4172 of IsraelG2474 18untilG2193 the SonG5207 of ManG444 comesG2064.
“19A 20discipleG3101 is not aboveG5228 his teacherG1320, norG3761 a slaveG1401 aboveG5228 his masterG2962. 25It is enoughG713 for the discipleG3101 that he becomeG1096 likeG5613 his teacherG1320, and the slaveG1401 likeG5613 his masterG2962. 21IfG1487 they have calledG1941 the headG3617 of the houseG3617 2223BeelzebulG954, howG4214 muchG4214 moreG3123 will they malign the members of his householdG3615!
“ThereforeG3767 do not 24fearG5399 them, 25for there is nothingG3762 concealedG2572 that will not be revealedG601, orG2532 hiddenG2927 that will not be knownG1097. 2726WhatG3739 I tellG3004 you in the darknessG4653, speakG3004 in the lightG5457; and whatG3739 you hearG191 whispered in your earG3775, proclaimG2784 27upon the housetopsG1430. 28Do not fearG5399 thoseG3588 who killG615 the bodyG4983 but are unableG3361G1410 to killG615 the soulG5590; but ratherG3123 28fearG5399 Him who is ableG1410 to destroyG622 bothG2532 soulG5590 and bodyG4983 in 2930hellG1067.
