Mark 1:21-39

211They wentG1531 into CapernaumG2746; and immediatelyG2117 on the SabbathG4521 2He enteredG1525 the synagogueG4864 and began to teachG1321. 223They were amazedG1605 at His teachingG1322; for He was teachingG1321 them as one havingG2192 authorityG1849, and not as the scribesG1122. 23JustG2117 thenG2117 there was a manG444 in their synagogueG4864 with an uncleanG169 spiritG4151; and he criedG349 out, 24sayingG3004, “4WhatG5101 5business do we have with each other, JesusG2424 6of 7NazarethG3479? Have You comeG2064 to destroyG622 us? I knowG3609 whoG5101 You are--8the HolyG40 OneG40 of GodG2316!” 25And JesusG2424 rebukedG2008 him, sayingG3004, “Be quietG5392, and comeG1831 out of him!” 26ThrowingG4682 him into convulsionsG4682, the uncleanG169 spiritG4151 criedG5455 out with a loudG3173 voiceG5456 and cameG1831 out of him. 27They were allG537 9amazedG2284, soG5620 that they debatedG4802 among themselvesG846, sayingG3004, “WhatG5101 is thisG3778? A newG2537 teachingG1322 with authorityG1849! He commandsG2004 evenG2532 the uncleanG169 spiritsG4151, and they obeyG5219 Him.” 28ImmediatelyG2117 the newsG189 about Him spreadG1831 everywhereG3837 into allG3650 the surroundingG4066 districtG4066 of GalileeG1056.

2910And immediatelyG2117 after they cameG2064 11out of the synagogueG4864, they cameG2064 into the houseG3614 of SimonG4613 and AndrewG406, with 12JamesG2385 and JohnG2491. 30NowG1161 Simon’sG4613 mother-in-lawG3994 was lyingG2621 sickG2621 with a feverG4445; and immediatelyG2117 they spokeG3004 to 13Jesus aboutG4012 her. 31And He cameG4334 to her and raisedG1453 her up, takingG2902 her by the handG5495, and the feverG4446 leftG863 her, and she 14waitedG1247 on them.

3215When eveningG3798 cameG1096, 16afterG3753 the sunG2246 had setG1416, they began bringingG5342 to Him allG3956 who were illG2192G2560 and thoseG3588 who were 17demon-possessedG1139. 33And the wholeG3650 18cityG4172 had gatheredG1996 at the doorG2374. 34And He 19healedG2323 manyG4183 who were illG2192G2560 with variousG4164 diseasesG3554, and castG1544 out manyG4183 demonsG1140; and He was not permittingG863 the demonsG1140 to speakG2980, becauseG3754 they knewG3609 who He was.

3520In the earlyG4404 morningG4404, whileG1773 it was stillG3029 darkG1773, Jesus gotG450 up, leftG565 the house, and wentG565 awayG565 to a secludedG2048 placeG5117, and 21was prayingG4336 thereG2546. 36SimonG4613 and his companionsG3588G3326 searchedG2614 for Him; 37they foundG2147 Him, and saidG3004 to Him, “EveryoneG3956 is lookingG2212 for You.” 38He saidG3004 to them, “Let us goG71 somewhereG237 elseG237 to the townsG2969 nearbyG2192, soG2443 that I may 22preachG2784 thereG1563 alsoG2532; for that is what I cameG1831 for.” 3923And He wentG2064 into their synagoguesG4864 throughoutG1519 allG3650 GalileeG1056, 24preachingG2784 and castingG1544 out the demonsG1140.
