30“After fortyG5065yearsἐτῶνetōnG2094had passedπληρωθέντωνplērōthentōnG4137,an angelἄγγελοςangelosG32appearedG3708to him in the wildernessἐρήμῳerēmōG2048of MountὄρουςorousG3735SinaiΣινᾶSinaG4614,in the flameφλογὶphlogiG5395of a burningπυρὸςpurosG4442thornG942bushβάτου.batouG942.

31When MosesΜωϋσῆςMōusēsG3475sawG3708it, he marveledἐθαύμαζενethaumazenG2296at the sightὅραμα·horamaG3705;and as he approachedπροσερχομένουproserchomenouG4334to lookG2657morecloselyG2657,there cameἐγένετοegenetoG1096the voiceφωνὴphōnēG5456of the LordκυρίουkuriouG2962:

32‘I am the GodθεὸςtheosG2316of your fathersπατέρωνpaterōnG3962,the GodθεὸςtheosG2316of AbrahamἈβραὰμAbraamG11and IsaacἸσαὰκIsaakG2464and JacobἸακώβ.IakōbG2384.’MosesΜωϋσῆςMōusēsG3475shookG1790with fearG1790and would not ventureἐτόλμαetolmaG5111to lookκατανοῆσαι.katanoēsaiG2657.

33But the Lordκύριος·kuriosG2962saidG3004to him, ‘TakeG3089offG3089the sandalsὑπόδημαhupodēmaG5266from your feetποδῶνpodōnG4228,for the placeτόποςtoposG5117on whichᾧhōG3739you are standingἕστηκαςhestēkasG2476is holyἁγίαhagiaG40groundγῆgēG1093.

34I have certainlyG3708seenG3708the oppressionκάκωσινkakōsinG2561of My peopleλαοῦlaouG2992in EgyptΑἰγύπτῳAiguptōG125and have heardἤκουσα·ēkousaG191their groansστεναγμοῦstenagmouG4726,and I have comeκατέβηνkatebēnG2597downG2597to rescueἐξελέσθαιexelesthaiG1807them;comeδεῦροdeuroG1204nowνῦνnunG3568,and I will sendἀποστείλωaposteilōG649you to EgyptΑἴγυπτον.¶AiguptonG125.’

35“ThisG3778MosesΜωϋσῆνMōusēnG3475whomὃνhonG3739theydisownedἠρνήσαντοērnēsantoG720,sayingG3004, ‘WhoτίςtisG5101madeκατέστησενkatestēsenG2525you a rulerἄρχονταarchontaG758and a judgeδικαστήν;dikastēnG1348?’is the oneG3778whomG3778GodθεὸςtheosG2316sentἀπέσταλκενapestalkenG649to bebothG2532a rulerἄρχονταarchontaG758and a delivererλυτρωτὴνlutrōtēnG3086with thehelpχειρὶcheiriG5495of the angelἀγγέλουangelouG32who appearedG3708to him in the thornG942bushβάτῳ.batōG942.

36ThisG3778manG3778ledἐξήγαγενexēgagenG1806them out, performingποιήσαςpoiēsasG4160wondersτέραταterataG5059andsignsσημεῖαsēmeiaG4592in the landγῇgēaG1093of EgyptΑἰγύπτῳAiguptōG125and in the RedἐρυθρᾷeruthraG2063SeaθαλάσσῃthalassēG2281and in thewildernessἐρήμῳerēmōG2048for fortyG5065yearsἔτηetēG2094.

37ThisοὗτόςhoutosG3778is the MosesΜωϋσῆςMōusēsG3475who saidG3004to the sonsυἱοῖςhuioisG5207of IsraelG2274, ‘GodθεὸςtheosG2316will raiseἀναστήσειanastēseiG450up for you a prophetπροφήτηνprophētēnG4396likeὡςhōsG5613me from your brethrenἀδελφῶνadelphōnG80.’

38ThisοὗτόςhoutosG3778is the one who was in thecongregationἐκκλησίᾳekklēsiaG1577in the wildernessἐρήμῳerēmōG2048togetherμετὰmetaG3326withthe angelἀγγέλουangelouG32who was speakingλαλοῦντοςlalountosG2980to him on MountὄρειoreiG3735SinaiΣινᾶSinaG4614, and who waswith our fathersπατέρωνpaterōnG3962;and he receivedἐδέξατοedexatoG1209livingζῶνταzōntaG2198oraclesλόγιαlogiaG3051to passδοῦναιdounaiG1325on to you.

39Our fathersπατέρεςpateresG3962were unwillingοὐκ ἠθέλησανouk ēthelēsanG3756 G2309to be obedientὑπήκοοιhupēkooiG5255to him, butrepudiatedἀπώσαντοapōsantoG683him and in their heartsκαρδίαιςkardiaisG2588turnedἐστράφησανestraphēsanG4762backG4762to EgyptΑἴγυπτον,AiguptonG125,

40sayingG3004to AaronἈαρών·AarōnG2, ‘MakeποίησονpoiēsonG4160for us godsθεοὺςtheousG2316whoοἳhoiG3739will goπροπορεύσονταιproporeusontaiG4313beforeG4313us; for thisοὗτοςhoutosG3778MosesΜωϋσῆςMōusēsG3475whoὃςhosG3739ledἐξήγαγενexēgagenG1806us out of the landγῆςgēsG1093of EgyptΑἰγύπτου,AiguptouG125--we do not knowG3609whatτίtiG5101happenedἐγένετοegenetoG1096to him.’

41At that timeἡμέραιςhēmeraisG2250they madeG3447acalfG3447and broughtἀνήγαγονanēgagonG321a sacrificeθυσίανthusianG2378to the idolεἰδώλῳeidōlōG1497,and were rejoicingεὐφραίνοντοeuphrainontoG2165inthe worksἔργοιςergoisG2041of their handsχειρῶνcheirōnG5495.

42But GodθεὸςtheosG2316turnedἔστρεψενestrepsenG4762awayG4762and deliveredπαρέδωκενparedōkenG3860them up toserveλατρεύεινlatreueinG3000thehostστρατιᾷstratiaG4756of heavenοὐρανοῦ,ouranouG3772;as it is writtenγέγραπταιgegraptaiG1125in the bookβίβλῳbiblōG976of the prophetsπροφητῶν·prophētōnG4396, ‘It was not to Me that you offeredπροσηνέγκατέprosēnegkateG4374victimsσφάγιαsphagiaG4968and sacrificesθυσίαςthusiasG2378fortyG5065yearsἔτηetēG2094in the wildernessἐρήμῳ,erēmōG2048,was it, O houseοἶκοςoikosG3624of IsraelG2274?

43You alsoG2532tookἀνελάβετεanelabeteG353along the tabernacleσκηνὴνskēnēnG4633of MolochΜολὸχMolochG3434and the starἄστρονastronG798of the godθεοῦtheouG2316RomphaG4501,the imagesτύπουςtupousG5179whichοὓςhousG3739you madeἐποιήσατεepoiēsateG4160to worshipπροσκυνεῖνproskuneinG4352.I alsoG2532will removeμετοικιῶmetoikiōG3351you beyondἐπέκειναepekeinaG1900BabylonΒαβυλῶνος.¶BabulōnosG897.’

46DavidfoundεὗρενheurenG2147favorχάρινcharinG5485in God’sG2316sightἐνώπιονenōpionG1799, andaskedᾐτήσατοētēsatoG154that he might findεὑρεῖνheureinG2147a dwellingG4638placeG4638for theGodθεοῦtheouG2316of JacobἸακώβ.IakōbG2384.

47But it wasSolomonΣολομὼνSolomōnG4672who builtοἰκοδόμησενoikodomēsenG3618a houseοἶκον.oikonG3624for Him.

48Howeverἀλλ᾽all᾽G235,the MostὕψιστοςhupsistosG5310HighG5310does not dwellκατοικεῖ,katoikeiG2730in housesmadeG5499by humanhandsG5499;as the prophetπροφήτηςprophētēsG4396saysλέγει·legeiG3004:

49‘HeavenοὐρανόςouranosG3772is My throneθρόνος,thronosG2362,And earthγῆgēG1093is the footstoolὑποπόδιονhupopodionG5286of My feetποδῶνpodōnG4228;WhatG4169kindποῖονpoionG4169of houseοἶκονoikonG3624will you buildοἰκοδομήσετέoikodomēseteG3618for Me?’saysλέγειlegeiG3004the Lordκύριος,kuriosG2962, ‘OrἢēG2228whatτίςtisG5101placeτόποςtoposG5117is there for My reposeκαταπαύσεώςkatapauseōsG2663?

51“You men who arestiff-neckedσκληροτράχηλοιsklērotrachēloiG4644and uncircumcisedἀπερίτμητοιaperitmētoiG564in heartκαρδίαιςkardiaisG2588and earsὠσίν,ōsinG3775are alwaysἀεὶaeiG104resistingἀντιπίπτετε,antipipteteG496the HolyἁγίῳhagiōG40SpiritπνεύματιpneumatiG4151;you are doing justὡςhōsG5613as your fathersπατέρεςpateresG3962did.

52WhichG5101oneG5101of the prophetsπροφητῶνprophētōnG4396did your fathersπατέρεςpateresG3962not persecuteἐδίωξανediōxanG1377?They killedἀπέκτεινανapekteinanG615thoseG3588who had previouslyG4293announcedG4293the comingἐλεύσεωςeleuseōsG1660ofthe Righteousδικαίου,dikaiouG1342OneG1342,whoseοὗhouG3739betrayersπροδόταιprodotaiG4273and murderersφονεῖςphoneisG5406you have nowνῦνnunG3568becomeἐγένεσθε·egenestheG1096;

53you whoοἵτινεςoitinesG3748receivedἐλάβετεelabeteG2983the lawνόμονnomonG3551asordainedδιαταγὰςdiatagasG1296by angelsἀγγέλωνangelōnG32, and yetdid not keepἐφυλάξατε.¶ephulaxateG5442it.”
