Psalm 106
Darby Bible
1Hallelujah! GiveH3034 ye thanksH3034 unto Jehovah; for he is goodH2896; for his loving-kindness [endureth] for everH5769.2Who can utter the mightyH1369 acts of Jehovah? [who] can shew forth all his praiseH8416?3Blessed are they that keepH8104 justiceH4941, [and] he that doeth righteousnessH6666 at all timesH6256.4RememberH2142 me, O Jehovah, with [thy] favour toward thy peopleH5971; visitH6485 me with thy salvationH3444:5That I may seeH7200 the prosperity of thy chosen onesH972, that I may rejoiceH8055 in the joyH8057 of thy nationH1471, that I may glory with thine inheritanceH5159.6We have sinnedH2398 with our fathersH1, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedlyH7561.7Our fathersH1 in EgyptH4714 considered not thy wondrous works; they rememberedH2142 not the multitudeH7230 of thy loving-kindnesses; but they rebelledH4784 at the seaH3220, at the Red SeaH3220.8Yet he savedH3467 them for his name's sakeH4616, that he might makeH3045 knownH3045 his might.9And he rebukedH1605 the Red SeaH3220, and it dried up; and he led them through the deepsH8415 as through a wildernessH4057.10And he savedH3467 them from the handH3027 of him that hatedH8130 [them], and redeemedH1350 them from the handH3027 of the enemyH341.11And the watersH4325 coveredH3680 their oppressors: there was not oneH259 of them leftH3498.12Then believedH539 they his wordsH1697; they sangH7891 his praiseH8416.13They soon forgotH7911 his worksH4639; they waitedH2442 not for his counselH6098:14And they lusted exceedingly in the wildernessH4057, and tempted 1GodH410 in the desert.15Then he gaveH5414 them their request, but sentH7971 leanness into their soulH5315.16And they envied MosesH4872 in the campH4264, [and] AaronH175, the saint of Jehovah.17The earthH776 openedH6605 and swallowedH1104 up DathanH1885, and coveredH3680 the companyH5712 of AbiramH48;18And fireH784 was kindled in their companyH5712; a flameH3852 burnedH1197 up the wickedH7563.19They madeH6213 a calfH5695 in HorebH2722, and did homage to a molten image;20And they changed their gloryH3519 into the similitude of an oxH7794 that eateth grassH6212.21They forgotH7911 2GodH410 their Saviour, who had done greatH1419 thingsH1419 in EgyptH4714,22Wondrous works in the landH776 of HamH2526, terrible thingsH6381 by the Red SeaH3220.23And he saidH559 that he would destroyH7843 them, had not MosesH4872, his chosen, stoodH5975 before him in the breachH6556, to turnH7725 awayH7725 his fury, lest he should destroyH7843 [them].24And they despised the pleasant landH776; they believedH539 not his wordH1697,25But murmured in their tentsH168: they hearkened not unto the voiceH6963 of Jehovah.26And he liftedH5375 up his handH3027 to them, that he would make them fallH5307 in the wildernessH4057;27And that he would make their seedH2233 fallH5307 among the nationsH1471, and disperseH2219 them through the countries.28And they joinedH6775 themselves unto Baal-PeorH1187, and ateH398 the sacrificesH2077 of the deadH4191;29And they provokedH3707 [him] to angerH3707 with their doings; and a plagueH4046 brokeH6555 out among them.30Then stoodH5975 up PhinehasH6372 and executed judgment, and the plagueH4046 was stayed;31And that was reckonedH2803 unto him for righteousnessH6666, from generationH1755 to generationH1755, for evermore.32And they moved him to wrath at the watersH4325 of Meribah, and it went ill with MosesH4872 on their account;33For they provoked his spiritH7307, so that he spoke unadvisedly with his lipsH8193.34They did not destroyH8045 the peoplesH5971, as Jehovah commanded them;35But they mingled with the nationsH1471, and learnedH3925 their worksH4639;36And they servedH5647 their idolsH6091; and they wereH1961 a snareH4170 unto them:37And they sacrificedH2076 their sonsH1121 and their daughtersH1323 unto demonsH7700,38And shedH8210 innocentH5355 bloodH1818, the bloodH1818 of their sonsH1121 and of their daughtersH1323, whom they sacrificedH2076 unto the idolsH6091 of CanaanH3667; and the landH776 was pollutedH2610 with bloodH1818.39And they were defiledH2930 with their worksH4639, and went a-whoring in their doings.40Then was the angerH639 of Jehovah kindled against his peopleH5971, and he abhorredH8581 his inheritanceH5159;41And he gaveH5414 them into the handH3027 of the nationsH1471; and they that hatedH8130 them ruledH4910 over them:42And their enemiesH341 oppressedH3905 them, and they were brought into subjection under their handH3027.43Often did he deliverH5337 them; but as for them they provoked [him] by their counselH6098, and they were brought low by their iniquityH5771.44But he regarded their distressH6862, when he heardH8085 their cryH7440;45And he rememberedH2142 for them his covenantH1285, and repentedH5162 according to the multitudeH7230 of his loving-kindnesses;46And he caused them to find compassionH7356 of all those that had carried them captivesH7617.47SaveH3467 us, Jehovah our 3GodH430, and gatherH6908 us from among the nationsH1471, to giveH3034 thanksH3034 unto thy holyH6944 nameH8034, [and] to triumph in thy praiseH8416.48BlessedH1288 be Jehovah the 4GodH430 of IsraelH3478, from eternity and to eternity! And let all the peopleH5971 sayH559, AmenH543! Hallelujah!
