Psalms 2
1WhyH4100 are the nationsH1471 in tumultuous agitation, and [whyH4100] do the peoplesH3816 meditateH1897 a vain thing?2The kingsH4428 of the earthH776 set themselves, and the princes plot togetherH3162, against Jehovah and against his anointedH4899:3Let us break their bonds asunder, and castH7993 awayH7993 their cordsH5688 from us!4He that dwelleth in the heavensH8064 shall laughH7832, the LordH136 shall have them in derision.5ThenH227 will he speakH1696 to them in his angerH639, and in his fierce displeasure will he terrifyH926 them:6And I have anointed my kingH4428 upon ZionH6726, the hillH2022 of my holinessH6944.7I will declare the decreeH2706: Jehovah hath saidH559 unto me, Thou art my SonH1121; I this dayH3117 have begotten thee.8AskH7592 of me, and I will giveH5414 thee nationsH1471 for an inheritanceH5159, and for thy possessionH272 the endsH657 of the earthH776:9Thou shalt break them with a sceptre of ironH1270, as a potter's vesselH3627 thou shalt dash them in pieces.10And nowH6258, O kingsH4428, be ye wiseH7919, be admonished, ye judgesH8199 of the earthH776.11ServeH5647 Jehovah with fearH3374, and rejoiceH1523 with trembling.12Kiss the Son, lestH6435 he be angryH599, and ye perishH6 in the wayH1870, though his angerH639 burnH1197 but a littleH4592. Blessed are all who have their trust in him.
