Psalm 11
Darby Bible
To the chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David.
1In Jehovah have I put my trust: howH349 sayH559 ye to my soulH5315, Flee [as] a birdH6833 to your mountainH2022?2For behold, the wickedH7563 bendH1869 the bowH7198, they make ready their arrowH2671 upon the string, that they may in darknessH652 shootH3384 at the uprightH3477 in heartH3820.3If the foundationsH8356 be destroyed, what shall the righteousH6662 do?4Jehovah [is] in the templeH1964 of his holinessH6944; Jehovah, — his throneH3678 is in the heavensH8064: his eyesH5869 beholdH2372, his eyelidsH6079 try the children of menH120.5Jehovah trieth the righteousH6662 oneH6662; but the wickedH7563, and him that loveth violenceH2555, his soulH5315 hateth.6Upon the wickedH7563 he shall rainH4305 snaresH6341, fireH784 and brimstone; and scorching windH7307 shall be the portionH4521 of their cupH3563.7For righteousH6662 is Jehovah; he loveth righteousnessH6666, his countenance doth beholdH2372 the uprightH3477.
