Psalm 106
Revised Version 1895
PraiseH1984 ye the LORDH3068. O giveH3034 thanksH3034 unto the LORDH3068; for he is goodH2896: for his mercyH3068 endureth for everH5769.
Who canH4310 utterH3605 the mightyH1369 actsH1369 of the LORDH3068, or shew forthH8085 allH3605 his praiseH8416?
BlessedH835 are they that keepH8104 judgmentH4941, and he that doeth righteousnessH6666 at allH3605 timesH6256.
RememberH2142 meH2142, O LORDH3068, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy peopleH5971; O visitH6485 meH2142 with thy salvationH3444:
That I may seeH7200 the prosperityH2896 of thy chosenH972, that I may rejoiceH8055 in the gladnessH8057 of thy nationH1471, that I may glory with thine inheritanceH5159.
We have sinnedH2398 with our fathersH1, we have committedH2398 iniquity, we have doneH2398 wickedlyH7561.
Our fathersH1 understoodH7919 notH3808 thy wondersH6381 in EgyptH4714; they rememberedH2142 notH3808 the multitudeH7230 of thy mercies; but were rebelliousH4784 at the seaH3220, evenH3808 at the Red SeaH3220.
Nevertheless he savedH3467 them for his name’sH8034 sakeH4616, that he might makeH3045 his mightyH1369 powerH1369 to be knownH3045.
He rebukedH1605 the Red SeaH3220 also, and it was dried upH3220: so he led them through the depthsH8415, as through a wildernessH4057.
And he savedH3467 them from the handH3027 of him that hatedH8130 them, and redeemedH1350 them from the handH3027 of the enemyH341.
The earthH776 openedH6605 and swallowedH1104 upH1104 DathanH1885, and coveredH3680 the companyH5712 of AbiramH48.
And a fireH784 was kindled in their companyH5712; the flameH3852 burnedH1197 upH3857 the wickedH7563.
Thus they changedH4171 their gloryH3519 for the likenessH8403 of an oxH7794 that eateth grassH6212.
Therefore he saidH559 that he would destroyH7843 them, had not MosesH4872 his chosenH972 stoodH5975 beforeH6440 him in the breachH6556, to turnH7725 awayH7725 his wrathH2534, lest he should destroyH7843 them.
Therefore he liftedH5375 upH5375 his handH3027 unto them, that he would overthrow them in the wildernessH4057:
And that he would overthrow their seedH2233 among the nationsH1471, and scatterH2219 them in the landsH776.
They joinedH6775 themselves also unto Baal-peorH1187, and ateH398 the sacrificesH2077 of the deadH4191.
Thus they provokedH3707 him to angerH3707 with their doingsH4611; and the plagueH4046 brake in upon them.
Then stoodH5975 upH5975 PhinehasH6372, and executed judgmentH6419: and soH5975 the plagueH4046 was stayedH5975.
And that was countedH2803 unto him for righteousnessH6666, unto allH1755 generationsH1755 for evermore.
They angered him also at the watersH4325 of Meribah, soH5668 that it went ill with MosesH4872 for their sakesH5921:
BecauseH3588 they were rebelliousH4784 againstH4784 his spiritH7307, and he spake unadvisedly with his lipsH8193.
And shedH8210 innocentH5355 bloodH1818, evenH776 the bloodH1818 of their sonsH1121 and of their daughtersH1323, whomH834 they sacrificedH2076 unto the idolsH6091 of CanaanH3667; and the landH776 was pollutedH2610 with bloodH1818.
Therefore was the wrathH639 of the LORDH3068 kindledH2734 againstH2734 his peopleH5971, and he abhorredH8581 his inheritanceH5159.
And he gaveH5414 them intoH3027 the handH3027 of the nationsH1471; and they that hatedH8130 them ruledH4910 over them.
Their enemiesH341 also oppressedH3905 them, and they were broughtH3027 intoH3027 subjection underH8478 their handH3027.
ManyH7227 timesH6471 did he deliverH5337 them; but they were rebelliousH4784 in their counselH6098, and were broughtH4355 lowH4355 in their iniquityH5771.
And he rememberedH2142 for them his covenantH1285, and repentedH5162 according to the multitudeH7230 of his mercies.
