Psalms 16
Michtam of David.
1PreserveH8104 me, O 1GodH410: for I trust in thee.2Thou [my soul] hast saidH559 to Jehovah, Thou art the Lord: my goodness [extendeth] not to thee; —3To the saints that are on the earthH776, and to the excellent [thou hast said], In them is all my delightH2656.4Their sorrowsH6094 shall be multipliedH7235 that hastenH4116 after another: their drink-offerings of bloodH1818 will I not offer, and I will not takeH5375 up their namesH8034 into my lipsH8193.5Jehovah is the portionH2506 of mine inheritance and of my cupH3563: thou maintainest my lotH1486.6The lines are fallenH5307 unto me in pleasantH5273 places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.7I will blessH1288 Jehovah, who giveth me counselH3289; evenH637 in the nightsH3915 my reins instruct me.8I have set Jehovah continuallyH8548 before me; because [he is] at my rightH3225 handH3225, I shall not be moved.9ThereforeH3651 my heartH3820 rejoiceth, and my gloryH3519 exulteth; my fleshH1320 moreover shall dwellH7931 in hope.10For thou wilt not leaveH5800 my soulH5315 to SheolH7585, neither wilt thou allow thy Holy One to seeH7200 corruption.11Thou wilt makeH3045 knownH3045 to me the pathH734 of lifeH2416: thy countenance is fulness of joyH8057; at thy rightH3225 handH3225 are pleasures for evermore.
