Galatians 5
Darby Bible
1ChristG5547 has setG1659 us freeG1659 in freedomG1657; standG4739 fast thereforeG3767, and be not held againG3825 in a yokeG2218 of bondage. 2BeholdG2396, I, PaulG3972, sayG3004 to you, that if ye are circumcisedG4059, ChristG5547 shall profitG5623 you nothing. 3And I witness againG3825 to every manG444 [who isG1510] circumcisedG4059, that he isG1510 debtor to do the wholeG3650 lawG3551. 4Ye are deprived of all profit from the ChristG5547 as separated [from him], as many as are justifiedG1344 by lawG3551; ye have fallen from graceG5485. 5For we, by [the] SpiritG4151, on the principle of faithG4102, awaitG553 the hopeG1680 of righteousnessG1343. 6For in ChristG5547 JesusG2424 neither circumcisionG4061 has any force, nor uncircumcisionG203; but faithG4102 workingG1754 through loveG26. 7Ye ranG5143 wellG2573; who has stopped you that ye should not obeyG3982 the truthG225? 8The persuasibleness [is] not of him that callsG2564 you. 9A littleG3398 leavenG2219 leavensG2220 the wholeG3650 lumpG5445. 10I have confidenceG3982 as to you in [the] LordG2962, that ye will have no otherG243 mindG5426; and he that isG1510 troubling you shall bearG941 the guilt [of it], whosoever he may beG1510. 11But I, brethren, if I yet preachG2784 circumcisionG4061, whyG5101 am I yet persecutedG1377? ThenG1161 the scandal of the crossG4716 has been done awayG2673. 12I would that they would evenG2532 cutG609 themselves off who throw you into confusion. 13For ye have been calledG2564 to liberty, brethren; onlyG3440 [do] not [turn] liberty into an opportunityG874 to the fleshG4561, but by loveG26 serveG1398 oneG240 another. 14For the whole lawG3551 is fulfilled in oneG1520 wordG3056, in Thou shalt loveG25 thy neighbour as thyself; 15but if ye bite and devourG2719 oneG240 another, seeG991 that ye are not consumed oneG240 of another. 16But I sayG3004, WalkG4043 in [the] SpiritG4151, and ye shall no way fulfil flesh's lustG1939. 17For the fleshG4561 lusts against the SpiritG4151, and the SpiritG4151 against the fleshG4561: and these thingsG3778 are opposed oneG240 to the other, that ye should not do those thingsG3778 which ye desireG2309; 18but if ye areG1510 ledG71 by the SpiritG4151, ye areG1510 not under lawG3551. 19NowG1161 the worksG2041 of the fleshG4561 areG1510 manifest, which areG1510 fornication, uncleanness, licentiousness, 20idolatryG1495, sorceryG5331, hatred, strifes, jealousies, angers, contentions, disputes, schools of opinion, 21envyings, murders, drunkennesses, revels, and thingsG3778 like these; as to which I tell you beforehand, evenG2532 as I alsoG2532 have said before, that they who do suchG5108 thingsG3778 shall not inheritG2816 1God's kingdomG932. 22But the fruitG2590 of the SpiritG4151 isG1510 loveG26, joyG5479, peaceG1515, long-suffering, kindnessG5544, goodnessG19, fidelity, 23meekness, self-control: against suchG5108 thingsG5108 there isG1510 no lawG3551. 24But they that [are] of the ChristG5547 have crucifiedG4717 the fleshG4561 with the passionsG3804 and the lustsG1939. 25If we liveG2198 by the SpiritG4151, let us walkG4748 alsoG2532 by the SpiritG4151. 26Let us not becomeG1096 vain-glorious, provoking oneG240 another, envying oneG240 another.
