Deuteronomy 9:4-6
4Thou shalt not sayH559 in thy heartH3824, when Jehovah thy 1GodH430 thrusteth them out from before thee, sayingH559, For my righteousnessH6666 Jehovah hath broughtH935 me in to possessH3423 this landH776; but for the wickednessH7564 of these nationsH1471 doth Jehovah dispossessH3423 them from before thee.
5Not for thy righteousnessH6666, or for the uprightnessH3476 of thy heartH3824, dost thou enter in to possessH3423 their landH776, but for the wickednessH7564 of these nationsH1471 doth Jehovah thy 2GodH430 dispossessH3423 them from before thee, and that he may perform the wordH1697 which Jehovah sworeH7650 unto thy fathersH1, to AbrahamH85, to IsaacH3327, and to JacobH3290.
6KnowH3045 therefore that Jehovah thy 3GodH430 doth not giveH5414 thee this goodH2896 landH776 to possessH3423 it for thy righteousnessH6666; for thou art a stiff-necked peopleH5971.
